It did not give me an option to pay the MRV. I selected permanent immigrant - is that correct? There's something wrong with the system because every time I go and try to update to home delivery it says 'Sorry, something went wrong. We will fix it shortly'. It did not give me the option to pay for the MRV, only to select delivery. Thank you for the reply smile.png.

It gives me options to:

Register for courier

Boarding foil

Apply for a K visa.

I selected courier and that's as far as I've got so. So far it will only let me arrange delivery to a DX depot.

I went through the 'Apply for K visa' option. It's still very confusing to say the least because my status on that website still has not changed. It still says 'attend for interview'. It was like that before I went for interview. On the CEAC site, my visa was changed to 'issued' yesterday, but still says 'attend for interview' on the blooming courier site. I'm assuming, my visa pack is still with the consulate.

Just tried that and it says my email address is already taken. Can I try another email address I have or will this cause problems? It's so confusing!

Jeff&Emmy,

I just got a call from DX, they have my visa pack and will deliver tomorrow for a fee. I told them I already paid the 30usd fee online. They said that I will just have to ask for my money back as they would only deliver if I paid them over the phone. They gave me the 'next day before 12noon' option for 14.95gbp or any day next week for 8gbp. So, I just paid them again. Let's see if I get my visa packet tomorrow.

My advise is, don't do the home delivery option. Wait for them to call you and arrange for the delivery over the phone, or you will lose the 30usd you pay over the website.

And yes, I believe you can register again with a different email address. I doubt that they even link your case to your account online. Best of luck!

The interview letter tells you to read IV19 Fiancé(e) Visa Appointment Letter http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/IV019_fiance_appt_letter.pdf

There are step by step instructions on where and how to pay at the end. It says pick "apply for a K1 visa". That may be how yours got messed up because you didn't follow the K1 instructions the letter tells you to read.

Nich-NIck, my interview letter doesn't say that. I also can't access that link to read it. It gives me a link to what happens at the embassy when I go for my interview, and the link to register for the courier. I have now paid both the MRV and Courier through different pathways and email addresses. I am hoping this won't cause too much of an issue.

No apologies needed. There is so much swirling around and the blind are following the blind so to speak. I wanted everybody to see again that the embassy gives you instructions in the IV19, which can be found on the embassy "forms" page. Forms is one of those links listed down the left hand column on the embassy web pages.

Hi,

can you please give me idea for K1 steps;

my case has forwarded to London Embassy.

What should i do?

please expalin in detail

thanks

I would think that the DS2001 would not result in a CEAC update - as long as the updates were made for the packet 3 and the medical then I think that is OK. That is because the DS2001 only tells them you arr ready - there is no information on it that they will use to "update" your case.

If it was signed for I am sure they have it - and it can take up to a month to get an interview date. I would think you would hear something really soon. For me it was 21 days - you are now at about that so you may hear this week but I know that people have said that appointments are given out in sets so deoending on the time of month it might take you a little longer. I also think they are happy with your forms as they have logged them and I think if they had a problem they would have let you know. Anyway, as Nich-Nik has said before, I dont think anyone actualy looks them over until your interview - never seen a case where someone was asked to ectify a forms mistake, they would just tell you at interview.

The offical word from DOS has usually been that it can take 6 weeks so you are well within that processing time. I know it is hard sad.png but try to be patient... I think you have done everything right and you are so close now. If you do need to call someone I have always found DOS much nicer and easier and cheaper to deal with although I know you have not found this to be the case so far! I think though this is just bcause you are just in the waiting line for an interview so there is no more info to give you.

Also, with the petition expiry, I think that usually if it runs out because they are slow issuing appointments, then its OK. (Although I'll let someone more experienced confirm this!) You might want to get a new, notarised, letter of intent from your fiance though as I have heard this can be requested in cases where the petition is expired before interview - so thay have evidence that they are still willing to marry you!

I hope you wil hear something this week!

Zoe

D0nna&mark - I'm glad they have your visa! I can't believe they won't accept the fee payment online though! I've accidentally paid twice and will most likely have to pay a third time! dry.png

Is the fee you paid online refundable? When are you heading off to the States? How exciting :)

It maybe because they still have problems with the new system. I tried to argue with DX about it, but I was left with no choice because they wouldn't deliver if I don't pay. They told me to try to ask for a refund but didn't guarantee that I would get one. I'm sorry to hear that you had to pay twice online. You should ask about it when you have your interview (maybe they will be more efficient then?).

I'm leaving for the States in October. You'll probably get there before I do. smile.png
