A copy of the letter I've last seen posted is at the end this post #45 of you want to see what an interview letter looks like http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/?p=5193825

The letter tells your date and time and refers you to the London website. That website document already has the new instructions for payment.

Fantastic! That is very helpful. I'd be so lost without you Nich-Nick :P thank you for being so awesome!

Yeh cheers nich-nick, you are a really helpful wealth of information.

I still don't quite understand how some people have been able to pay their MRV's since/after the new system came into place without their interview date, but I am definitely more knowledgeable than I was a couple of days ago.

I spoke to 5 different people at the embassy today. 3 at the 6998 number and 2 at the 0000 one, they all contradicted themselves. I have a feeling you're right nich-nick about the scheduling, as one of the women on the phone said I am a 'transitional' case which means all my files were set up before the change over but I'm to wait for the new system. She said I should call back in 2 weeks if I habven't heard anything.

Also, on the usvisa-info site I was able to put in all my details, select a courier and pay the MRV of $240 and I have a receipt for it too. I really am not sure what is going on, but as the new system is being changed over I don't think the embassy does either.

I'm not going to think about it anymore for the day, my brain is mush! Maybe after the weekend more light will be shined on the situation.

we can just keep each other posted :)

Geeh, can I ask what you put in the box that asks for your 'post assigned appointment date' when you were signing up/adding applicant on the usvisa-info.com website. I have no idea what this is and where to get it.

What is your question if you have paid and scheduled the courier? That sounds like success.

I can tell you what that means.

"Post" is government talk for the embassy or other office. Post assigned would mean consulate assigned

So in your case it would mean "what is your interview date that was assigned to you by London" because you don't get to pick your own date..

I didn't get an interview date assigned yet. I think Nich-NIck is correct that although the site says Attend Interview and the person on the phone said wait 3 days I think it really is a matter of waiting for the embassy to contact me with a date now. I am hoping to hear something within these two weeks. If not then I'll call around. Anyone have any luck with scheduling an interview? Anyone else send their forms off and done their medical waiting for a date? Let me know your scenario please :)

As far as I know, K1 or any immigrant visas, don't schedule their own interviews. The embassy does. I had my medical on July 1. I waited for 4 days before sending off my ds 2001 with a wedding date of Sept 20 (thanks Nich-NIck for the advise). 2 weeks later, I got an appointment letter (packet 4) with an interview date for August 2, just a month after my medical. I paid the MRV using the new system- online. Really confusing! I phoned the call centre twice before I went for it and both times, I knew that they were giving incorrect information cause they were asking me for numbers I have no knowledge of. So I went ahead with paying online as I was 2 days from my interview then. The print out looked very generic, didnt have a barcode or anything that made it look official. I was a bit worried so I also printed the email confirmation AND an online bank statement in case I will be questioned about it. Went for my interview, presented the 'generic' printout without any issues. Got approved, and now just waiting for DX to contact me with a tracking number.

What website did you use to pay your visa fee? I've managed to get it delivered to a DX in South London but atm, it won't let me upgrade to send it to my home address. Is there a different website for paying the $240?

usvisa-info.com. After paying, you log in again and you will see that there is an option for home delivery. Basically, you first have to pay the 240usd then after they confirm and everything, you log-in again and you can choose to have it delivered and pay 30usd.

It did not give me an option to pay the MRV. I selected permanent immigrant - is that correct? There's something wrong with the system because every time I go and try to update to home delivery it says 'Sorry, something went wrong. We will fix it shortly'. It did not give me the option to pay for the MRV, only to select delivery. Thank you for the reply smile.png.

It gives me options to:

Register for courier

Boarding foil

Apply for a K visa.

I selected courier and that's as far as I've got so. So far it will only let me arrange delivery to a DX depot.
