If I emailed in my AOS documents twice (once before the option was accepted, so I resent it just in case), will it cause issues if they received and accepted both of the emails?

I didn't have any issues and the exact same thing happened to me.

Awesome, thanks! They just accepted my 2nd one and I emailed the IV packet shortly after, so hopefully things get wrapped up soon!

Last week, two different reps at NVC told me my wife's IV application was "in review." I called NVC again this evening for an update and the rep I spoke with said it has not been reviewed yet, but they received it and it's in the mail room waiting to be reviewed. They received it on July 17.

Is it possible that it still hasn't been touched? Can it really sit that long in the mail room? Why would the other two reps have told me it was already in review? I was really optimistic that it would get approved this week. Now I feel it's going to be much longer sad.png

same thing here yesterday Rep told my case is under final review when I called today he said is not 20 days yet .I'm not sure what's going on.

Sorry to hear that.

Did you use the I-864EZ form? If so, the instructions say to use Adjusted Gross Income figure which can be found on page two of the tax transcripts.

I have read other suggestions on this forum where if you have 1099s in addtion to your W2, you should include a brief explanation that shows how you arrived at a total figure.

Thank you so much, I actually did the regular i-864 not te ezThe supervisor. that i talk to said it seems correct that he was going to send it to get reviewed but I feel like im wasting time and in case it is incorrect i would like to know whats the answer so I can send it already. i f you can let me know where is that suggestion or conversation I will appreciated because I been looking and cant find nothing.

Good morning,

I click around so much at times that I can't recall where I saw an exchange that referenced typing up paragraph outlining the multiple sources of incoming in order to have the total tie out. It suggested not to assume the reviewers would figure this out even though its obvious.wacko.png

According to the instructions on the new I-864 what you listed is correct. You included gross total income from your tax return. If you have your 1040 in front of you this would be the figure on line 22 which would reflect wages, tips, additional income, etc.

I've seen user: pushbrk comment on many other I-864 posts. (shrug) maybe?

Called to find out if they had reviewed our AOS documents yet and he said they had and that they were all good! Yay! I didn't think I made any mistakes, but it feels good to know for sure.

I called again today and the rep I spoke with said my wife's IV packet has been in review since July 18. I asked again just to be sure and she said yes, it's in review but takes 20 business days. I guess the rep I spoke with last night just gave me wrong information...

I sent one checklist item 06/27 by email and the other the post office delivered 07/01. NVC was showing 07/02 and 07/15.... and that's what they stuck with. They said they couldn't see which one was which and at one point they showed 3. I know that isn't comforting, but it does confirm that when they show something, the date isn't what we think it should be. It seems a VJ person's explanation in one of the threads is correct that it sits in the mailroom for a while before they "show" it as received. I wish I had a more positive experience to tell you. Hang in there. I do know your frustration.

I don't know. Something is wrong, though. I called again to get a different rep and he said the same thing. Oh well I guess all we can do is sit here and wait for some news :/

Hello, sorry to bother I have a quick question I have a 1099 and w2 form and i got a checklist because apparently I inserted the wrong amount of money i made in 2012, my qestion is that in the transcript says i got for example 15000 for the w2 and 15000 for 1099 i added them tpgether and i got a checklist I dont know why because I got it from the second page where it says total income,so why did i get a checklist or what is the right thing to put? because im not understanding this checklist. I did the regular i-864 in the front page it says w2 15000 (example) and in the second page it says 30000 (example) in total income at the very end pf the transcript it says that I made 15000 with the 1099. is it possible that they didnt check that? and they saw 15000 in the first page and like i put 30000 in total income of the i-864 they tought I put the wrong amount? please help

go by the tax return, not the w-2 or 1099.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Guys i am so upset, confused and tired of crying i cried all night lastnight and it doesn't seems to help. Last month i got a checklist for my joint sponsor I-864 &I-864A (my husbands mom and dad) the checklist was because their total income earning was incorrect and yesterday i got another checklist stating we didn't put anything for sponsors and hosuehold member birthplace "state/province" so i called and spoke with a supervisor and let them know GUYANA doesn't have a state it has a city and we did put the city their the supervisor is gonna let me know i should have put "n/a" so i said why wasn't that stated in my first checklist that we had recieved and it's really messed up because he didn't seems to care all he said if we do not send in our file will not move onto the next phrase... Is their anyone at NVC i can speak to because this is so unfair and my husband is in New York until nextweek because his grandmother is in critical conditional at the hospital ranting33va.gif

Does it makes any sense contacting the DOS about this checklist?

I believe you should, it's worth a shot.. On the instructions manual for the new i-864 I thought it said.. if it doesn't apply to leave it blank... therefore, stuff that didn't apply to me. i just left blank!!
