Called NVC today and was told IV was approved! They anticipated the AOS, which was mailed same time, should be done early next week. So that makes 15 business days for the IV.

Mailed the 9th. They received the 11th. Also, I asked if I would get confirmation email, and operator said its best to call, for what it's worth.

Hey All,

Confused, but hoping this is maybe a good thing. It looks like I got a false checklist, can anyone confirm? We're in Canada and are using EP with scanned documents. The checklist is for all of the supporting documents in the DS-230 (Birth Certificate, Passport, Passport Photos, police certificate, and marriage certificate) as well as the entire AOS package. We sent the AOS package and all supporting docs for both packs last Friday with a supervisor review subject line. Triple checked everything before we sent. Hoping this is just a sign that our case is now being reviewed. I called this morning and the operator didn't have any news for me.

Thanks!

Looks like a false checklist based on the review (and acceptance) of the DS-260.

And on your husband's I-864 you put just the two of you?

The best I can think of is to either ask for a supervisor review, or resend the documents, triple checking everything is accurate against what they have sent you.

Yes on my husband's i-864, there is just the two of us.

Thank you for your advice but we're not going to do what you said, because even if we had a checklist, they told us to bring the "corrected paper' during the interview. We just had case complete despite this. If we ask for a supervisor review or we resend the documents, we're going to start all over the famous "20 business days".

If you had a case complete I'm not sure why you're worried? You called the nvc and got the answer you wanted. :)

We are worried because even if we have a case complete, we got checklist for things to modify that are already right. So we were wondering if some people ever had this type of issue.

For exemple, they ask to write the name of city of birth when it's already written ^^ That's pretty weird.

Oh well lots of people have been getting checklists after the case complete. It's pretty new, fairly annoying, and generally useless. :D

Don't worry because we also got a checklist after case complete to correct things that we already did in the first checklist.. its confusing because you don't whether to put the same answers from the supposedly "corrected AOS", we know how you feel :(

It's really strange I think. It's like there's always something going wrong for no reason at the NVC stage, for us at least lol.

We're going to bring the "corrected AOS" for the interview and see what they'll do with it. The France embassy doesn't seem too strict so I guess we're lucky for that :)

Good luck for your journey Jeisson&Ellie, we've never been so close to the end ;)
