NVC operator Lindsey has requested a Supervisor review the checklist item that is over 20 business days old! She believes it is the birth document, but who knows for sure. She said they would email me, but that it is a better idea to call them back. Now why didn't they do that the other day when it was late being reviewed? I should have called yesterday..... Oh well, some progress, but I still have to wait for the other document.... I can do it!

I called and she said it's under review and that I would be notified once it's been reviewed, so I guess they send out emails now?

Hi, I was told the same that i would get an email once it has been reviewed. it has been 20 business days since i sent the aos, i called today to see if it has been reviewed yet because i still never received any email and they told me yes it was already reviewed and it was accepted a couple of days ago and they have already looked at my iv app also they are just waiting to upload my civil documents. so, you may not want to count on getting an email. :)

Alright thank you! I'll call back again next week and see if it's been accepted yet. When did you submit your IV documents?

Alright thank you! I'll call back again next week and see if it's been accepted yet. When did you submit your IV documents?

i did the online application on July 22 and emailed the documents on July 23. they asked when i sent them when i called and i told them on the 23rd, so then they said to just wait 20 business days from then.

Got my interview schedule Sept 9, 2013. After long waiting finally I already had a schedule. Thank you Saylin and Niki , Darnel and Top of the world. thank you vj and wishing you all. God bless us.

CONGRATS!! :D

Hello smile.png

I sent my AOS checklist on the 5th of july and I just got a case complete on the 1st of August goofy.gif

However they tell us that even if we can get an interview scheduled, the file is still not filed properly and I need to bring another i-864 at the embassy.

Here's the checklist :

In Part 1. Basis for Filing Affidavit of Support, please correct the following...
[x] Item 1. You must enter your full name in the box.
----> This I understand, my sponsor didn't write his full name including middle names
In Part 2. Information on the Principal Immigrant, please correct the following...
[x] Items 1.a. through 1.c. You must enter the principal applicant's full name.
----> This I understand too, I don't have a middle name so he let blank, I guess we should have written "none"
In Part 3, Information on the Immigrant(s) You are sponsoring, please correct the following...
[x] Item 7. The total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 must equal the number of immigrants listed in Part 3, Items
1 through 6.f. In addition, you must also verify that the total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 matches the
number you entered in Part 5 Item1.
----> I don't understant this mistake at all since everything seems to be correct, I'm the only applicant so it's written "1" everywhere and for the number of people in the household, the addition is good too.
In Part 4. Information on the Sponsor, please correct the following...
[x] Items 1.a. through 1.c. You must enter your full name.
[x] Item 7. You must enter your city or town of birth.
[x] Item 8. You must enter your state or province of birth.
----> Everything is also filed properly here
Did you guys ever get a checklist like this with items to be modified when they are already correct ?
Thank you for your help, we might call the NVC too to get a little more information too. At least, we're happy because even if it's still not completely ok, they're going to schedule an interview dancin5hr.gif

How many do you have in your household? Just you and your spouse? Did the joint sponsor complete an I-864A or I-864?

My co-sponsor has 4 persons to declare in his household : himself, his wife, one dependent and me (the applicant) so we wrote everything right 3 + 1 = 4. It's really strange. It's an i-864 since me and my husband both live abroad together.

On the first checklist there wasn't any mention of the errors which are stated on this new checklist.... Eventhough we copied everything exactly the same except for the corrections. Now the corrections are right at least but they found problems elsewhere.

We called the NVC this morning and the girl didn't help at all because to be able to see what's wrong, they would have to reopen the whole case which would have delayed us.... When my husband tried to ask why the checklists were different, she got annoyed and didn't know what to answer. She finished by saying "just bring the paper to the interview".

And on your husband's I-864 you put just the two of you?

The best I can think of is to either ask for a supervisor review, or resend the documents, triple checking everything is accurate against what they have sent you.

Hey All,

Confused, but hoping this is maybe a good thing. It looks like I got a false checklist, can anyone confirm? We're in Canada and are using EP with scanned documents. The checklist is for all of the supporting documents in the DS-230 (Birth Certificate, Passport, Passport Photos, police certificate, and marriage certificate) as well as the entire AOS package. We sent the AOS package and all supporting docs for both packs last Friday with a supervisor review subject line. Triple checked everything before we sent. Hoping this is just a sign that our case is now being reviewed. I called this morning and the operator didn't have any news for me.

Thanks!
