what was the error on the gross income? they told me the same thing and two weeks later they send me a checklist saying we are sorry your gross income is correct the error is that you left blank the house total income ? It would of been a bummer if I was doing everything by mail.

I haven't gotten the official email, but from what I could tell over the phone (and assuming there aren't other errors) mine was a mistake on my part. When filling in the section for Total Income, I used the Adjusted Gross Income (according to 1040EZ) instead of the Total Income - line 22 (according to the standard 1040). My brain registered 1040 and I didn't notice the part about EZ vs Standard until it was too late!

Kind-of sad because they have my tax returns, have clearly noticed the error, but I still need to correct. I guess they need perfect paperwork vs. common sense.

Also very disappointed my attorney didn't notice this when she reviewed the paperwork... At least this won't delay the processing of the DS-230 this week, but I'm sure it will delay our overall case complete yet again.

There is truly something special about the level of rudeness and sheer apathy with so many of the NVC phone personnel. This last guy started the "20 day" speech literally before I could even finish my sentence.

If you don't like your job, quit.

He wouldn't by chance go by the name of "Arthur"? sleepy.gif The poor guy sounds perpetually annoyed. Don't know if its at callers or life in general. I always think "Drats!" since I always manage to get him when I occasionally dial the NVC.

Today is my 14th business day of waiting for my AOS Checklist to be reviewed. From the looks of recent posts I might hear something by the begining of next week.

I honestly think it was! Did he also speak really slowly like he didn't know what he was even doing?

Sucks to hear that even checklists are subject to the same waiting times. I guess I won't be seeing my wife anytime soon.

He is very monotone, that's for sure.

if this helps in any way.... I called on a Tues 7/30/13 and was told to expect a checklist for my AOS. I received that email late Thu 8/1/13. So it took a couple of days to get my coversheet in order to resubmit my I-864EZ.

I say patience and meditation is definitely in order.

Was there anything in that email besides what to correct that needs to be submitted with the alterations? I've called twice and both times they said all that needed to be changed was the Total Income. I was thinking of submitting prior to receiving the email to get a few days ahead.

You don't necessarily need to use the cover sheet in the checklist email. If it's an AOS checklist, you can simply use the AOS cover sheet from the payment portal. And if it's an IV checklist, you can use the IV cover sheet from the payment portal.

Getting through to NVC today took over an hour of constant busy signals and then getting droped after waiting for 20 minutes, anyone else having experienced this?

Anyways after inquiring on the status of our case in regards to our request of a second supervisor review of a birth certificate, that they initially claimed is not an original one and sent us a checklist for, the operator now told me that it would take 15 days for a supervisor review, while previously I was told it would take 5-10 workdays (today being the 10th day).

I also previously asked for a supervisor to call me back since apparently they are never available, but of course no one ever does call back.

Really chaffs me that they just can cause so much delay.

My error was on the actual form. Something very silly like leaving a section blank. So I printed the entire form, refilled out in its entirety and resubmitted as instructed. I did not need to submit any of the supporting documents.

Yep! This is very goog to remember. Lets hope I am done with checlists. Sniff.
