my checklist and iv packet was reviewed in less than a week and a lot people took even less sucks that is taking so long now that im in the finish line of nvc lol ;( i want that sept interview so bad

Up to that amount of time. It could take 2 days, it could take 20...

You will most likely not receive a Sept interview because you case was not completed by end of July. However you likely will receive your interview date in early Sept if you get your case complete in Aug. Earliest interview date you can hope for IMO is Oct.

onek - too many variables to give you a good answer.

assume local office adjudication, how often does that local office send casefiles out to NVC?

(that's just one variable, fwiw)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks for the reply. It came from NBC and was an expedite request which never went to a local office. Does that help?

You might be right, but I believe every country is different. People from Mexico got there case complete about a week or two ad they got tere interviews for september, I also know someone that got a case complete not even two weeks and they got it for the first week of september. What i dont understand why are some cases getting reviewed faster than others. Edited by domingo y bianca

never? try this phrase -

'I'm an EP case, sent in stuff 2 weeks ago, and I need to check out the email queue and detaching stuff'

We just got a checklist in email that said they were waiting for this :

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________
The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.
The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United
States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following
website for instructions:
http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")
Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each
Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay
your visa.
Is that the generic cover sheet they send out? Because we sent that off 2 weeks ago

false checklist. Generally means they've reviewed your AOS. :D

Hi,

Currently in the NVC stage, received an RFE for my AOS. but NVC has already received the corrections. In a bit of a dillema though, my wife lost her mobile, and that is her primary way of contact (other than email address). Is it possible to update NVC and tell them that my wife has a new number? Will this cause a delay? Does she need the telephone number? Is an email address enough? (scheduling embassy appointment). Thank you.

There is truly something special about the level of rudeness and sheer apathy with so many of the NVC phone personnel. This last guy started the "20 day" speech literally before I could even finish my sentence.

If you don't like your job, quit.
