We received out NOA (i-797C) for the 485, 131 and 765. Everything is right on track as I had hoped. Now if we can get the biometric appointment letter Monday that would be perfect.

Nice bokar83 that you received your 797c, l have not yet received a text. My package was delivered on 08/07 so maybe M or T, l will get a text and /or email. I am sensing that more emphasis will be put on F2A in the next 2 months, else many more visas will still be wasted. VSC has just transferred a bunch of F2A pending 130s to NSC, l guess for faster processing. Let's see what the next visa bulletin will say.

That top part is so that you don't use it to replace a visa and try to get into the country with that form (i.e. use AP instead). My understanding is that you are in pending adjustment status. If you want, you can stay in school. If you want, you can drop out. Some stay in school because the application may be weak or they have not been married a long time and if they are denied, they have a backup. We are going on 5 years of marriage so my wife is dropping out of school shortly. We too don't want to pay the expensive out of state tuition. BTW, some schools will change you to in-state tuition before your GC is approved (as long as you have the i-797C). Each state and school have their own rules. Might want to see if you qualify for in-state tuition first.

Thank you bokar, thats what I was hoping for it meant. I think my school allows in state tuition with an approved I130 but it wont keep you in F1 status in that case. Anyway, I am pregnant so I would take a medical leave but since I got I797 I dont wanna bother with int'l student office anymore. I guess their system uses scheduled tasks/jobs to send out those text messages and emails.

I don't know, but I'm really glad I finally got the acceptance confirmation! I have a work trip early October and had requested expedited AP, so I was definitely worried. By the way, I also checked the online status and I-765 and I-131 are showing Initial Review (Aug. 2nd) and I-485 Acceptance (Aug. 9), all of them with the NBC. Good luck and keep us informed on your progress.

Same here, I can see my case status online for all three forms. To some it took a few days before they could see their status online. I hope my ASC for biometrics is not backed up so that I can hopefully receive a biometric notice maybe by Friday or next Monday.

Unfortunately a chunk of F2A visas are still going to be wasted given that the fiscal year ends September 30th, I do not think any of us will make it to the finnish line in less than 60 days.

Since this PD being current for F2A is only a temporary thing, it will be nice to see how much this retrogresses, hopefully it does not retrogress way back:))

when do you guys think we will get our fingerprint appointment? I'm traveling for two weeks in early September. Hopefully my biometric appt doesn't fall on one of those days.

Hey filers!

Total noob question for y'all. As it turns out, our attorney is finally sending the papers tomorrow via Fedex (so they should be there pretty quick) but aside from the check being cashed, how did you guys start keeping track of your case in the USCIS website?

I have a case number from my I-130 but since this will be yet another process I'm not sure how to keep track of it. How did you guys get the receipt number for your I-485 without hard copy?

I received my hard copy of I-797C too. Now, waiting for Finger print notice. I guess, I will get it this week.
