I sent out the AOS via USPS priority on Aug 1 or Aug 2 and it arrived at the lockbox on Aug 5. On Aug 7, USCIS sent me a txt + email with all 3 receipt numbers starting with MSC, and they are available to check on uscis website. So USPS shouldn't be the problem

Same here. Mine was also delivered on Aug. 1. I'm starting to worry, as well. From what I gathered from this and other forums, it looks like most people who send their packages through an express service already received their notifications. Those of us who sent it with USPS to the PO Box 805887 are still waiting...

I sent mine to the PO Box and was delivered on the 1st but not opened until the 2nd. I presume that there were a ton of packages received the first few days and that they are just swamped. Also, I did not recieve a text message, but I did receive the email even though I had requesed both notifications. Double check your junkmail folder to see if an email may have shown up. Most of the notifications I have received have arrived around 10 pm or later.

Good luck everybody. Hang in there.

We haven't receive any txt or email for our i485 application. Check was not cashed either. USPS delivered it on Aug 1 at Chicago office thru express mail. We did submit an e-notification. I'm starting to get worried. Seems like everyone got a text or email. If I call uscis, can they give me information regarding my application? Or should I just wait a little more?

I have just spoken with a representative from USCIS. I was told that since more than 10 days have passed since filing my application and the check hasn't been cashed, I should e-mail my situation to lockboxsupport@dhs.gov. Just wanted to let those who are in the same situation to know. Hopefully we will receive our approvals soon. Good luck!

Yup, it is nice that you are being proactive, please contact them at the email immediately as it takes a few days for them to respond.

Applicants whose packages were accepted by USCIS on 08/05 have already received text/emails, so you should definitely be worried.

Good luck, hope all works for you.

We received out NOA (i-797C) for the 485, 131 and 765. Everything is right on track as I had hoped. Now if we can get the biometric appointment letter Monday that would be perfect.

Best of luck to everybody.

Hey, I have received NOA1 hard copy for i485 today. It says on the top it doesnt grant any immigration status and benefit. I thought I would be in status with pending I485. So How is it? Do I still have to maintain mine F1 status and pay expensive out of state tuition?

That top part is so that you don't use it to replace a visa and try to get into the country with that form (i.e. use AP instead). My understanding is that you are in pending adjustment status. If you want, you can stay in school. If you want, you can drop out. Some stay in school because the application may be weak or they have not been married a long time and if they are denied, they have a backup. We are going on 5 years of marriage so my wife is dropping out of school shortly. We too don't want to pay the expensive out of state tuition. BTW, some schools will change you to in-state tuition before your GC is approved (as long as you have the i-797C). Each state and school have their own rules. Might want to see if you qualify for in-state tuition first.

Hang in there.
