This totally blows!!!

The visa bulletin was issued and our i-30 is no longer current! I hope no one else is in the same situation. Now we'll have to wait until the visa bulletin moves one month....which based on the demand god knows when it will be. Damn the Houston office! They never sent our interview notification because they are slower than a snail going uphill! ranting33va.gif

Well, at least I have my EAD and AP.

sorry to hear that. I hope it moves again soon sometime in near future.

There are a bunch of us who filed after September 8th and are in the same boat.... we were hoping some forward movement.

Really sorry for your situation as your date will be current till end of Feb and then not anymore. Atleast we knew our dates were not current for past 3 months.

But I hope you get interview scheduled soon and dates move forward soon as well.

Folks, I would like to know if someone have been through a similar situation and could help me:

I'm married to a US citizen and we have sent our I-130 petition last may, to do the embassy process, via Rio in Brazil. Last month I came to US (using my tourist visa) and now I decided to stay here and do the adjustment of status. Somebody know how to proceed with USCIS? I'm expecting NOA2 in the next week or so, since it will be 60 days since my I-130 process was transferred to Nebraska on Feb. 18th. So, when I get the approval, what should I do? Do I need to contact USCIS and let them know that I am here now and I'm going to adjust my status?

Thanks a lot!

PS: we didin't hire any lower for the I-130.

Mirian_watts. If you have your NOA1 receipt for the I-130. Just attach it to your I-485 application and mail it to the Chicago lockbox facility. They will reconcile it with your file and start processing it as a concurrent application.

Thank you for your reply, however, my I-130 was already approved (last week). So, as soon as I get my NOA2 hardcopy, should I do the same procedure you described, and Simply ignoring the paper work that NVC is going to send us?

Mirian_watts.You don't even necessarily have to wait to attach the NOA2. Once they have the NOA1 with the I-485 application they will reconcile the 2 cases. They will already know it's been approved and start processing the I-485. Ignore anything from NVC. What they will send you is just paperwork regarding the adjudication of your application by the US consulate in your home country. So whichever you have at the time your I-485 is ready to file, be it the NOA1 or NOA2, just attach with the I-485 and everything will be good. It will be treated as concurrent processing.

Well, the retrogression hit us hard since we're from Mexico. It's so frustrating because our PD is just one month ahead of the where the cutoff date is right now. I don' expect any movement soon. I'm thinking things will start moving again on Sept. when the fiscal year is over.

I hope the next retrogression for all countries on June/July doesn't affect anyone.

Hi all:

Sharing my experience since I'm close to "ending the F2A journey" :)

Submitted my I130 on Sept 2012 and it was not approved till Friday last week (03/07). When the priority date was current, I submitted the I-485 (on Aug 2013). On Jan 2014, we were called for an interview. Everything went well except, my local office doesn't have my I130. So, they requested I130 from CSC. On Feb it got transferred to my local office.

It's more than a month wait after my interview and today I got the confirmation emails that I130 and I485 is approved :)

Still have a question. Can someone enlighten me :)

Initially my I485 status was "Card/ Document Production" and later changed to Decision " we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after ....."

does this as expected or ???
