Finally received my 2 year Green card and welcome letter in mail today. COA is CX6 and validity is 2 years. Visa journey is over. Extremely thankful to all the help I received here. Looking forward to sharing my experience with anyone who has questions during their process. Good luck everyone !

08/8/13 I-130,I-485, 765, and 131 package mailed


08/12/13 package received by USCIS chicago


08/14/13 text and email of acceptance received (PD 8/12)


08/16/13 hard copies of I-797c receipt notices received


08/23/13 Biometric notice recieved, Biometric scheduled for 09/13/13


08/28/13 Successful Biometric walk in


09/03/13 I-485 application status updated showing RFE.


09/07/13 RFE received in mail. It is asking to show that I-130 petitioner is a US citizen

Since most of the guys got their GC it seems this thread is not active, may be the effect of holiday season too smile.png

So anybody who filed in Chicago office got their interview date??

I chalk it up to the holidays as well. Some offices are slower than a sloth crossing a highway. :D

Took infopass and talked to an IO. At first he said there is nothing wrong as my wife gor her GC through my (employment based) GC. When I said that we have been married for less than two years, he went and spoke to someone. When he came back, he said that my wife is eligible only for the conditional GC and by mistake USCIS has sent her a ten years GC. He also said that we need to send back the GC along with I-90 form without any fee. When requested, he endorsed my wife's passport with a temporary GC valid for one year. Hope this helps. Just an update. We sent back the 10 years GC and awaiting USCIS response.

You should get it soon. I was following the processing times every month and expected that my interview will be in January. It was right.

SLC also has similar dates as Chicago. So you should receive your date soon.
