Alright guys...!

I had interview at 2.45 pm and v called by officer around 3.00 pm.

He asked for our ids.

Then, he asked for approved copy of I-130.

After that, he told us that it does not gonna take too long because my I-130 is already approved.

He started asking our birthdates, and where we met first time..! That's all for basic questions.

He asked me that I am on what kind of visa. He started asking yes/no question from I -485.

Immediately, after that, he told us v got approved.

Our interview was lasted less than 5 mins.

V were in car at 3.20 and returned to home.

My online status is also shows that card production..!

Good luck to those who are waiting for their interview..!

Congrats!!! Exciting! We will do the interview tomorrow. Good luck to us and all the F2A filers!

Congratulations Sam !

General question for interview. Would I be required to take a certified copy of our marriage certificate ? As in, would I need to submit it as evidence ?

I had attached a certified copy with my application. Is it ok to just take my original marriage certificate for the interview ?

My wife might need to change job causing us both to change place/state of residence soon...
We have been noticing that it takes quite some time from the time I-485 changes to "testing and interview" status to an interview really getting scheduled. I think this delay is based on how busy the local office (where the file is sent is)...

If we have to move during this period, and update the address at USCIS, wonder how it is gonna impact the interview scheduling (especially maybe when the file is already at local office?)

Is it recommended not to move in such circumstances?

09/09/2013 - Concurrent filing of I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 sent via USPS.

10/01/2013 - I-485 case status updated to RFE and the RFE notice mailed out.

10/08/2013 - RFE response mailed out.

10/10/2013 - I-485 case status changed to "RFE response review"

Congratulations to everyone who has already gotten a Green Card. Particularly to those who got the 10 years!

I am getting close to the 90 days mark (on Nov 18) and still have no news of an interview. I already have my EAD and AP but it seems the Houston office is way behind on interviews and with the upcoming holidays I don't think that'll improve much. Still keeping our fingers crossed for something to happen before the year ends.

Anyone else in this situation out there?

Ya. Same here. Been waiting since Sept 11 for my actual interview date. Some offices are super fast and others are super slow. I sure hope that they fix the immigration system before they work on immigration reform. Otherwise the influx of people will make the system crash. Wait and wait more. :)

I might be in a serious problem. Need advice.

Me and my wife had long story knowing each other since 7 years. We were together in college for 6 years.

Prob 1: I got engaged in 2011.

Got student visa in 2012 and we both came to US. She has green card.

married in december 2012. Should I mention my engagement or it will raise flag as visa fraud as intent to immigrant?

Prob 2: I have lots of photos of us together with each others family. But we have only 3-4 photos of my wedding as I am trying to find my all other wedding photos as my photographer has lost my pics.Is it ok to show only 3/4 photos and tell him the truth that we are trying to find it? Really frustrated and felling cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif

Other documents that I am going to show in interview:

1) Joint bank account statement

2) car insurance with both us name

3) school transcript showing we both were together for more than 5 years

4) tax return

5) detailed phone bills

6) credit card in both's name

bhesas01: Always it is better to say the trust, but only if they ask you about some point, don't volunteer the information. In the first point you came here to study, additionally you got married, that is not immigration fraud intent, in the second point you have more evidence that I had, and since one year ago, I am conditional resident ( my interview was in Newark too). Don't worry! Show them other photos, include pictures with the families and in different places, if it is possible.

Yesterday I went to my son's interview at Newark, he is 19 years old and he entered in april 04, in a tourist visa, I petitioned him as a child of a LPP in August 17. The interview lasted ten minutes, the IO only asked the No's questions in the I485 form, and I felt that the interview was only one requisite to fit. She approved my son in the spot. She was very serious and professional, but very kind too. I really thanks this forum because at the get go, when I saw the VB "current", I called USCIS, and they said me that I couldn't apply, but in this forum you said "I did". At that moment I was very depressed because my son would be back to my country at August 22, five days later that I filled, and now I am very excited because he is living again with us officially. Congratulations to the new Green Card Holders, and Good Look for the others.

I don't know why I can't post my timeline.
