Oh wow! We are married for 1 year and 9 months and I still got a conditional one. Oh well, I guess some people get lucky smile.png

From what I know, the rule clearly states if you have not been married for 2 years on the date of your adjustment, you get a conditional card. Of course they can and probably do over-turn it if you are really close to your two year anniversary but that didn't happen for us.

Congratulations!

I am still not sure if I have to make an infopass and talk to an officer regarding the 10 years GC instead of a conditional GC. Anyone in similar situation?

Feb 06 2013:I-130 PD (Case transferred to Nebraska on Aug 20 2013)

Sep 27, 2013: I-130 approved.

July 31 2013: I-485, I-765 and I-131 sent

Aug 01 2013: USCIS received AOS package

Aug 06 2013: NOA 1 received for AOS

Aug 16 2013: FP notice received

Aug 29 2013: FP done

Sep 09 2013: Status changed to Testing & Interview

Sep 16 2013: Email notification for Interview (scheduled on Oct 17 2013)

Oct 17 2013 Case Approved

Oct 22 2013 CPO email received

Oct 25 2013 Card mailed
Oct 28 2013 Card received

My wife got a 10 years GC and we have been married for ~one year. Called USCIS and we don't have to do anything it seems. The person told that people who apply 485 normally receive a ten years GC. Need to do some more research.

Why bother calling USCIS? Your green card application has been approved and you have been given 10-Y GC.

If USCIS wants to take it back down the road and issue you a conditional GC, that is their business not yours.

when you submitted I-485 you were applying for a GC period.

I know some may think this is unfair, but I think you benefited from an officer who did not pay attention to details.

You will think their systems should have softwares that can detect this,.......oh well

If by mistake they issued you a 10-yr GC instead of the 2-yr CGC, it is your responsibility to inform USCIS of their error.

Same here Prajay10. I see you are located in new York. According to processing times they were working on March 8 applications by August 31st. It's been a couple of months, so they should be getting to it. I think it's because we are in cities that have an immense amount of immigrants so we need to hang in there.

Our time will come.

It's been a couple of months, so they should be getting to it. I think it's because we are in cities that have an immense amount of immigrants so we need to hang in there.

Our time will come.

Hopefully we will get the date soon. Good luck to both of us. I had requested for a service request and I was told that I should get a response within 30 days. Hoping to get the date sooner. I guess we have no other option than waiting for the date.

Well, another week begins. Hope that this is our week for interview dates. Best of luck everybody. Stay positive and trust in the Almighty. Good news is that most have their EAD (even if they messed up some of our names and are still re-producing them..:))

Alright guys...!

I had interview at 2.45 pm and v called by officer around 3.00 pm.

He asked for our ids.

Then, he asked for approved copy of I-130.

After that, he told us that it does not gonna take too long because my I-130 is already approved.

He started asking our birthdates, and where we met first time..! That's all for basic questions.

He asked me that I am on what kind of visa. He started asking yes/no question from I -485.

Immediately, after that, he told us v got approved.

Our interview was lasted less than 5 mins.

V were in car at 3.20 and returned to home.

My online status is also shows that card production..!

Good luck to those who are waiting for their interview..!
