Hi,

Just wanted to make sure one can file I-485 for spouse only if she/he is US right ?

If ones spouse if outside US then we just need to file I-130 and wait for Councillor processing.

AOS is only if the spouse is currently in the US. You are correct that if the spouse is outside of the US one would do consular processing. Best of luck.

Our package was accpeted. Just so you know, I never go the SMS, but as I was checking my email this morning (couldn't sleep at 4AM because of thise "delay") I saw that I had received the emails confirming reception for all three forms. Therefore, don't rely soley upon the text message to know whether or not your package has been accepted. Double check your email, including the junk folder. :)

Happy Happy Dance! Now just waiting for the hard copy which I assume will be here Saturday or Monday.

More will be coming.

Just to update: I also received the four txt message and four emails confirming acceptance of my 130/485/131/765 concurrent filing around 12 am midnight. One thing I have no idea is I had one G-1145 form with my wife's info attached to my 130 petition, and one G-1145 with my info for 485/131/765 application. Don't know if they only use the first one for the e-notification.

Wow! The aos acceptance is pouring in.

I sent my application on 08/01 through stupid USPS express mail and right up to now the stupid postal service has not yet delivered my mail.

I was freaking out that my package me be missing and calling USPS customer service like crazy. Right now the status has just shown that the item has just arrived at their local post office in Chicago.

Hopefully it gets delivered today. I will probably be hearing from USCIS only next week then.

FYI, my PD is Feb 06, 2013. Hope I will also be one of those lucky people to get my I-130 approved.

Sep 27, 2013: I-130 approved.

July 31 2013: I-485, I-765 and I-131 sent

Aug 01 2013: USCIS received AOS package

Aug 06 2013: NOA 1 received for AOS

Aug 16 2013: FP notice received

Aug 29 2013: FP done

Sep 09 2013: Status changed to Testing & Interview

Sep 16 2013: Email notification for Interview (scheduled on Oct 17 2013)

Oct 17 2013 Case Approved

Oct 22 2013 CPO email received

Oct 25 2013 Card mailed
Oct 28 2013 Card received

USPS finally delivered my application to USCIS yesterday. Express mail taking 5 days:((

Well atleast I am thankful that the package is not missing.

Also I just got email from USCIS this afternoon that my I-130 case has been transferred to a local office that has jurisdiction over my case. My PD is August 2012 VSC has anyone else gotten similar email?

08/27/13 Approval (NOA2)

08/30/13 Hard copy of NOA2 received

09/04/13 NVC returned file to USCIS

I-485 APPLICATION

08/6/13 I-485, 765, and 131 package mailed

8/7/13 package received by USCIS chicago

8/12/13 text and email of acceptance received

8/15/13 hard copies of I-797c receipt notices received

8/19/13 FP notice recieved, FP scheduled for 09/06/13

8/21/13 Successful FP walk in

9/3/13 Status changed to testing and interview

9/6/13 Email for interview scheduled for 10/9/13 at 2:30 pm in Philadelphia

10/7/13 EAD and AP approved

10/9/13 Interview lasted less than 5 mins and was approved on the spot

10/17/13 combo EAD and AP card received, but don't need it since GC has been approved already

10/21/13 10-year GC received, wow so much good things happening. THANK YOU JESUS!
