It's kinda weird that I received the email and txt on Sept 18th said my EAD card ordered and will be mailed out in 30 days. But today I received the same email and txt again. The only difference is the date of this update. Hopefully USCIS didn't make any mistake on mine or others.

This is completely normal. You will receive one e-mail when the EAD is approved (card ordered). Another one a few days later when the card is in production. Then another one when the card is ready (I think all of them look the same, only the dates change). You'll then received another one when the card is mailed. Finally, one when the USPS picks it up and gives you a tracking number.

07/02/2013 - Received USCIS Acceptance Confirmation email (PD June 28).

07/03/2013 - Check cashed

09/11/2013 - I-130 transferred to Nebraska Service Center

11/13/2013 - I-130 transferred to USCIS local field office (3 weeks after the interview)

11/25/2013 - I-130 Approved

I did the same for the timeline. Hopefully some of the mods see this issue and fix it so that there is an option for one who is doing AOS via LPR. Best of luck!

Thanks a lot for explaining this. The two emails do look the same so far :) To my understanding, because the AP will be written on the EAD card, I only got the approval email for AP, not approval email for EAD, but jumped to the card production notice.

The day that R & M received EAD/AP card, his/her 485 status changed to "Testing and Interview". Good luck to everyone!

congrats! this is great news. the combo card is essentially a temp green card! Seems like so far folks on this forum has EITHER a scheduled interview OR shipped combo card? Anyone got both yet?

I am from Chicago.

I was checking processing times for I-485 in Chicago and it is lagging one month compared to some of the California cities. Most people from California, applied in August first week, got interview dates.

05/22/2012 - I-130 Reciept

07/30/2013 - I-130 NOA2

08/08/2013 - Received USCIS Acceptance Confirmation emails.

08/08/2013 - Checks cashed
08/10/2013 - Received 3 NOA's by mail (I-485, I-131, I-765)
08/14/2013 - NOA for Biometrics appointement. Date set for 08/29/2013

To keep others posted, I just received the EAD/AP combo card in mail today. It's valid for one year. For the AP part, the attached paper says

Parole Into the United States Is Not Guaranteed

Parole Into the United States Is Not an Admission

Q4. If I receive this card, does that guarantee my re-entry into the United States if I travel?

A4. No. This card authorizes parole, not admission, to the U.S. Parole is not an admission or "entry". If you obtain this card, you may use it to travel abroad and return to the U.S. Upon arriving at a port-of-entry, you should present the card to a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer to request parole. Issuance of an Advance Parole document does not guarantee that CBP will parole you into the U.S. If parole is granted, you will be permitted to come into the U.S. as a parolee, but will not have been 'admitted". Individuals who have been unlawfully present in the U.S. and subsequently depart and seek re-entry through a grant of parole may be inadmissible and ineligible to adjust their status.
