( I-485 with I-130 pending ).

Important: Fellow AOS applicants - Did any one of you receive a NVC number by any chance? The most bizarre thing just happened and I got a NVC number when I was waiting for something from USCIS.

What should I do besides contacting NVC and telling them I am AOS inside US.

Any updates on their confusion? Did you have any luck when you called regarding the NVC number? BTW, did you get the NVC number via email?

I got txt the case was received. Hope it means accepted. Nothing on a case status when i put receipt #. It starts with MSC... which is national benefit center. Did you get that too? BTW, my I130 is approved. good luck folks.

These are great news! Thank you for letting us know and for confirming that one could file I-485 with I-130 pending. I guess this will put an end to those who questioned the possibility.

By the way, it's interesting that both of those with I-485 accepted had the I-130 pending/approved by the CSC. Mine is with the VSC.

Any updates on their confusion? Did you have any luck when you called regarding the NVC number? BTW, did you get the NVC number via email?

I called NVC and they asked me to send an email and the NVC case would be terminated.

Yes, I did get the case number and other details by email.

Surprising factor was that even in my I-130 approval, it was mentioned I would be adjusting status here but had it forwarded to NVC.

This is fantastic news. I could not wait for this moment to come to dispel the misinformation that some "mr/mrs know all" have been spilling in this forum.

Despite advice from all lawyers that it is perfectly legal for F2A to file while I-130 is pending, there were people in here who constantly argued against that even doing so without any proof.

I guess none of them will surface now as this will make them look very embarrassed.

Sometimes it is good to stay quiet rather than embarrass yourself on things that you have little or no knowledge about.

Good luck with the rest of the F2A filers with pending 130s

You should really stop giving people advise to file concurrently when the forms don't list them as a class than can. I know it isn't your life that you are messing up and you seem to take a sick pleasure at giving others information that could come out terribly because you read something on a blog for immigration "experts" trying to drum up a few dollars.

Does NBC process AOS(i-485) applications too?

When I check NBC for their timelines, it shows only I-765 and I-131 processing times

There is no mention of I-1485

Just wanted to make sure one can file I-485 for spouse only if she/he is US right ?

If ones spouse if outside US then we just need to file I-130 and wait for Councillor processing.
