Finally the status changes to testing and interview, does it mean all the documents are fine with NBC and no further REF? I got the email update at 9:30pm pacific time, it seems that USCIS is working hard to get our applications done. Good luck to all of us :-)

Congratulations! Could you add your timeline to your signature please? That would help everyone here.

About the RFE, it means that all the documents that they looked at look good. However, I have heard people here at VJ say that you could get a RFE at any point of the process, even on your interview day! :o

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this is a smooth sail for everyone! Good Luck!

no, but i'm a bit worried about affidavit of support because we only provided 2 years tax return, i don't know if this will be the problem, do we need to find a joint sponsor

We also stated the petition is LPR in the packet cover letter and included a copy of visa bulletin too.

I am a little worried about it too. My wife (who is the LPR) is a student and has not earned enough to file taxes ever. We only submitted one year's tax returns (because that's the only time she filed returns as we did a joint return after we got married). I make enough so I hope we don't need a joint sponsor smile.png

I got RFE mail today and it asked me to submit all tax document again and birth certificate in foreign language.

i submitted last three years W2s, 1040's first two pages and last two pay stub. Seems like is it not good for them or they misplaced it and want same stuff back?

In RFE it says, please provide all supporting tax documents (W2, 1099, and all supporting tax schedules) submitted to IRS.

Please guide me what you guys have sent for yr supporting tax documentation.

If you send copies of your tax returns, you need to send them EVERYTHING that you sent when you filed your return (1040, all 1099s, W2, 1099-INTs and all the other schedules you have with your 1040.) Basically the whole package for all 3 years.

If you send them the IRS transcript, you don't need to send anything else apart from the transcript.

I think in your case, the RFE is because you only sent first 2 pages of the 1040 and W2.

I also sent paystubs for last 6 months and I would suggest you do that too. Just in case.

I selected (a).

I read on another forum that some concurrent filer who also selected (a) went into "test and review" without getting RFE, so this choice doesn't seem to cause the problem. both (a) and (h) should be fine.

If you send copies of your tax returns, you need to send them EVERYTHING that you sent when you filed your return (1040, all 1099s, W2, 1099-INTs and all the other schedules you have with your 1040.) Basically the whole package for all 3 years.

I didnt file concurrently but my status moved to Testing and Interview on 8/28 and still no dates for me. From what I can see late July filers are getting their dates now. August filers should start getting interview dates soon. I don't think concurrent filing would affect it. I have read about some people who went for the AOS interview with a pending I-130 and their I-130 got approved after the interview.

No dates for me either. My status moved to Testing and Interview on 9/5. Some people did get their I/L a week after the status change. Hopefully it won't be long...
