Ok please below,

I noticed although you had mentioned in your I-130 application that you will be adjusting status in the US, your I-130 application was still forwarded to NVC.

My questions for you are two-fold:

1-Did you include immigration documents such as I-94, copy of passport with visa, copy of I-20 (if student) or copy of H1B (if worker) with your I-130 application when you filed initially.

2- Also in your hard copy of approval notice for I-130, what explanation did USCIS give for sending your approval to NVC instead NBC even though you had mentioned that you were adjusting in the US?

Does anyone know the stats on how long USCIS takes to schedule an interview?

I don't think there's a consistent timeline. Some people have had theirs scheduled within two days of moving to testing and interview and some people have waited months. I think it depends on your local office and how busy it is. I am hoping to see some movement this week :) Good Luck!

I did not include I-20, 94, or even copy of passport with the AOS.

I guess that is why USCIS flat out said I was not eligible for AOS.

But now that we included all these stuff with the form 485, NBC has reviewed the application and everything looks good so far as our status has changed to "Testing and Interview"

At least from what I can infer if there were any deficiencies with our application, NBC will have issued an RFE.

Hi there!

To anyone following our case, I just had call with our Lawyer and she mentioned that the letter we received (interview request for the petitioner to prove relationship from I-130), is definitely not part of the standard process and she thinks they might have messed up, specially beacuse of the paper color the used (pink), which means this is an additional and not scheduled communication.

Anyway, she said that she has another appointment on Monday with USCIS RE: another case so she will be talking to the supervisor there about our case. She said that since they will definitely not want to have 2 interviews, she will try to check if we can have the I-130 and I-485 interviews together (and who knows, if approved, maybe my passport stamped right there!). That means there is a possibility that we have our interview on September 16th. If they don't want to have them together given that I haven't even had my FP taken, then our attorney will reschedule and have them both at a later time once biometrics have been taken care of.

If anything, this might just be a blessing in disguise!

I'll tell you more about it on Monday.

When step changes from acceptance to testing and interview, we get message midnight. The same way we get for our reciept number or v can get message anytime during the day....?

Well, some people got text, so i was just wondering that what time ususlly they send text..?

9/27/2013: I -485 status shows Interview date November 5th, 2013

10/11/2013: I-765 and I-131 got approved.

11/5/2013: Green card approved

11/5/2013: I -485 status shows card production.

11/5/2013: Status moved back to decision.

11/7/2013: I-485 status shows card production.

11/14/2013: Received green card for 10 years
