so.. all those RFEs are complete mistakes on the IOs side? I haven't heard anything on my case yet but I am afraid it's just a matter of time before I get the RFE.. I filed concurrently and marked "a" for application type..

I did the same for the timeline. Hopefully some of the mods see this issue and fix it so that there is an option for one who is doing AOS via LPR. Best of luck!

I actually got my expedited AP approved today. They also approved the EAD (which I had not requested to be expedited, but I guess it's because of the combo card). This means that you can definitely apply concurrently. Good luck and keep us informed!

Wow, urs is fast. Congrats to the AP and EAD! I checkd option A when I filled 485 but I don't think that's the reason for my RFE. Hope USCIS can realize this issue ASAP.

There was no additional cost. I had to provide a lot of evidence of the urgency of an upcoming official travel. Not sure my case applies to others who do not hold a G-4 visa.

What I have noticed so far is that all the RFE to prove that petitioner is a US citizen has been issued people who filed I-130 and I-485 together.

I have not heard same from those who filled with pending I-130s.

Another trick is your cover letter. It should have stated clearly and bold on the subject line that you are adjusting status under the F2A category.

I clearly mentioned that on my subject line and also attach a copy of the August 2013 visa from the DOS which shows that F2A was current.

What I am saying summatively here is that I did not leave this up to whoever was processing my application to find out whether I am eligible for AOS at this stage or not, I actually made a case in my cover letter.

Well I have not received an RFE, maybe I will, maybe not we will see how it goes.

The only good thing for me going on for me now is that my I-130 was approved yesterday. If I get an RFE like the others, I will just attach copy of my NOA2 approval and send it back to them.

But again all this is very strange, I know and have seen it in countless cases that USCIS will never cash your check until they have determine that you are eligible to claim whatever immigration benefits you are seeking from them. The fact people's checks were cashed was an indication that they were eligible to file. I think someone must have screwed up at the NVC.

10/17/13 combo EAD and AP card received, but don't need it since GC has been approved already

from what I heard, there isn't a consistency on who received RFE... some people filed i-485 with i-130 pending.. some clearly stated F2A and LPR spouse in their cover letters... I also don't think PD will retrogress.. I think the cutoff will stay at ~ Sept 2013 when October VB gets released.. just my speculations.. who knows

07/31/2013 - AOS packet sent via UPS (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765)
08/02/2013 - Delivered to USCIS Chicago
08/06/2013 - Received USCIS Acceptance Confirmation emails and texts.
08/07/2013 - Check cashed
08/09/2013 - Received all i-797C's by mail
08/19/2013 - NOA for Biometrics appointment. Date set for 09/06/2013

08/20/2013 - Successful walk-in Biometrics
08/28/2013 - NOA2 for Biometrics appointment AGAIN. Date set for 09/12/2013
08/29/2013 - Succesful walk-in Biometrics
09/04/2013 - I-485 status online changed to "testing & interview"
09/13/2013 - I-485 status showing the interview date.
09/14/2013 - Received NOA about the interview appointment on 10/15/2013
10/07/2013 - Received Combo card with fingerprint on it
10/15/2013 - interview day. approved on the spot.
10/16/2013 - I-485 status changed to card production
10/17/2013 - I-485 status changed to decision: registered as a permanent resident
10/17/2013 - I-130 approved

By text of the Sept visa bulletin that's what it looks like it's going to be. Hope the cut off goes to sept/Oct 2013 :)

10/18/2013 - EAD updated to "Card sent"

10/18/2013 - EAD updated with USPS tracking number (expected delivery on 10/21)

10/21/2013 - EAD/AP Combo card received.

10/21/2013 - Interview day (Los Angeles - review)

10/21/2013 - Another update to the I-485 (Decision - Registered as Permanent Resident)

10/23/2013 - Another text/email for card in production.

10/28/2013 - Card ready to be picked up notification. Later in the day got the tracking number.

10//31/2013 - Received the card today! Yay!

I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

7/22/15 - Documents sent
7/24/15 - NOA1 (Received in mail on 7/29)
8/19/15 - Biometrics done
