During lunch time, I got email and txt alert says USCIS mailed a notice requesting initial evidence, haven't received the actual mail yet sad.png I mailed out all the possible supporting materials. Has anyone received RFE notice two days after Biometrics like me?

Oh wow! That was FAST! I did my biometrics a week ago and I haven't heard a peep (maybe that's a good thing?). Also, my I-130 was filed about a year ago.

I will not panic yet. Request for initial evidence is usually not a call for concern. It means the standard/basic documents stated in the instructions of 485 form have not been submitted.

They might have misplaced one or more docs that you sent in with your application. It is not uncommon with USCIS.

What is usually problematic is when you receive a notice requesting for further or additional evidence.

Yesterday I received an email from the NVC with my case number and telling me how to pay my fees. Interesting that this would be sent to me now when:

  • I marked that I would be doing AOS on my i-130 paperwork,
  • my i-130 was approved,
  • I've sent in my AOS packet,
  • My AOS packet was accepted AND check cashed
  • I've received my biometrics letter
  • and finally, I've completed my bometrics. :)

Sometimes I don't think that the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Anywho, I didn't panic. I simply sent them a reply email stating that I was doing AOS and giving them the receipt numbers for my AOS package and dates for the cashed check as well as the completed biometrics. I would assume that silence is golden, but this is USCIS/State Department and for all I know they have already sent my paperwork on to the consulate. :) LOL.

This is a simple reminder to smile as this process progresses. No need to stress. Things will work out in God's time. Have faith and patience my friends.

I did a walk in FP in san jose office today, and it went on very well and smoothly. The staff there were actually very friendly and kind, I'm surprised by the service

16 Aug- Reached at chicago. I-130 -same day case transferred to Nebraska service center

23 Aug: 4 text msgs and 4 emails at 2:00 AM in the morning

1) AOS I-485 accepted

2) Advance parole I-131 under initial review

3) EAD I-765 under initial review

4) I-130 case updated and we have start working on your case

My husband has got the 2 emails from NVC too which is weird since I am doing AOS. He also wonder where the hell they took his email address from. The only time he has given his email was when filed I130 on the G-1145 form. I cant believe they use 10 mts old info of last email to contact us about important things. I mean he could have changed his email since then and we would never know...

08/01/2013 (day 1) - Delivered to USCIS Chicago

08/06/2013 (day 6 ) - Received USCIS Acceptance Confirmation emails. Awaiting official receipt notice (Form I-797) in the mail.

08/08/2013 (day 8 ) - Checks cashed

08/10/2013 (day 10) - Received 3 NOA's by mail (I-485, I-131, I-765)

08/16/2013 (day 16 ) - NOA for Biometrics appointment. Date set for 08/28/2013

08/19/2013 (day 19) - Successful walk-in Biometrics

08/28/2013 (day 28) - Biometrics appointment (Original)

9/11/2013 (day 42) - I-485 status online changed to "testing & interview"

9/26/2013 (day 57) - EAD status online changed to "card production", I-131 approved.

9/30/2013 (day 61) - EAD/AP card production ordered

10/04/2013 (day 65) - EAD/AP card mailed

10/07/2013 (day 68) - EAD/AP card received. *USCIS spelling error on card so they will have to redo the card.

10/16/2013 (day 77) - EAD/AP card mailed back to USCIS due to USCIS spelling error on card.

11/23/2013 (day 115) - EAD/AP card received with correct name.

01/02/2014 (day 155) - I-485 status showing the interview date updated - Interview on Feb 4, 2014.

01/04/2014 (day 157 ) - Received NOA about the interview appointment on Feb 4, 2014

02/04/2014 (day 187) - Interview @ SLC

02/04/2014 (day 187) - I-485 Approved

02/13/2014 (day 197 ) - Green Card Received (10 Year GC)

Anybody see any movement on their i-485 status from USCIS?

Nothing on my case yet. My original biometrics appointment is on the 28th so I guess they will start processing after it.

9/4/2013 - (8pm - Pacific) Email/Text for I-130 approval! (Took 405 days)

9/8/2013 - Hard Copy NOA2 for I-130

10/15/2013 - Got another email and text about EAD in production.

10/18/2013 - EAD updated to "Card sent"

10/18/2013 - EAD updated with USPS tracking number (expected delivery on 10/21)

10/21/2013 - EAD/AP Combo card received.

10/21/2013 - Interview day (Los Angeles - review)

10/21/2013 - Another update to the I-485 (Decision - Registered as Permanent Resident)

10/23/2013 - Another text/email for card in production.

10/28/2013 - Card ready to be picked up notification. Later in the day got the tracking number.

10//31/2013 - Received the card today! Yay!

I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

7/22/15 - Documents sent
7/24/15 - NOA1 (Received in mail on 7/29)
8/19/15 - Biometrics done
