America's sense of fair play won't allow it to put a bullet in the back of the head of someone that would have no problem doing the same to any American.

can't we just feed them fast food for a couple of years and let nature take its course?

Never studied morality and ethics? Probably coz college isn't free in the States.

Plenty. I was a US Army Officer.

Morality and ethics are not subjects normally taught in secular schools, University or otherwise. You have to pick a field, or an employer, with a particular code of conduct for that sort of discussion.

They are on a hunger strike, nOOb!

How do they win if we exterminate them all? What a silly thing to say.

We would no longer be who we were before they set out to destroy our way of life. They would have succeeded even if they were not around to see it. That's a big "IF" there in that previous sentence. Thus far, every drone strike that kills one of them and the "collateral" around them, creates a dozen more. We may be decimating their structures and organizational power right now but we're certainly not decimating their manpower. We are their top recruiters already.

That is because the current US government and it's people are unwilling to make the fight a bit more personal. There is no honor in killing by remote control. On that alone, Al Qaeda occupies the high ground. Eventually the US will withdraw with the issues unsettled, as they have from every conflict since WWII. America no longer has the stomach for a fight. Al Qaeda has already won.

You have no clue what you are talking about.

I think maybe you haven't been to university. Ethics 101 is a very popular class. I was just speaking with a friend who teaches it and he was making me laugh about how he freaks his students out and makes them question their own morality and then he feels he's done a good job teaching. I remember a lot of people taking ethics in undergrad. It was a "cool" class.

Hey ! No fair ordering (and getting) a Happy Meal !

The gifts are for the wee ones.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

The Marine's would welcome them to the island paradise and send them on to the land of virgins.

Oooorah!

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.
