My Husband received his interview date today.

Our case was completed February 23, 2006 and our interview date is march 28, 2006.

How did he receive notification, Jamaica mail? My wife's case was completed and sent to Kingston on the same day.

I wrote (emailed) the embassy and requested an early interview date. they emailed me back and gave me the date. the email from the embassy is below:

As requested, we have scheduled _____ _______ for a visa interview on March 28, 2006. On March 3, 2006, we mailed an appointment packet to him at ______________ address, Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica. After receiving the appointment packet, he should independently contact one of the Embassy's approved panel physicians (listed on the back of the "Applicant's Medical History and Physical Examination" form) at least seven working days prior to the visa appointment, to schedule a medical examination.

If the appointment packet is not received, he should come to the Consular Section's information window any Monday through Friday, between 7:15 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., to request a duplicate appointment packet. If everything is in order at the time of the interview, we should be able to issue the visa in three to four working days.

My husband received a job offer from a company here in atlanta. The company was requesting a starting date for april 10. I requested an early date so he would be able to get the job. I gave the name of the company in my email. Although, my girlfriend (who filed cr1 for her husband awhile ago) said that she requested an earlier interview date for her husband giving no reason and received it. so I don't know if you really need a reason for an early interview. She said if they have the date they will give it to you if you ask for it.

I am not sure how long the queue is for jamaica, sorry.
