Hello, Please anyone with transfer student visa experience? i m currently seeking to transfer to the states...but trying to crack this question..why are you transferring to the states,why not finish here???

Well, why are you?

Is the US university that is taking you on famous for its research in whatever area you study? Is there a famous professor with many published articles? Is studying in your country so expensive it would be cheaper to do so in the USA?

i m currently in malaysia..an international student here,so i decided to transfer from my current university to the states..

but why? If you are an international student, where are you originally from? Is the US university that accepted you better than your current one? Of not, why transfer?

i m originally from Nigeria..in my current sch,international student aint appreciated and there are some discrimination,so i opt for a change..my current sch rank no1 private school here in malaysia and i wouldnt go for anything less,so i opt for d US ,where internationals are appreciated and encourage..more so,the school i got admitted into is also top 5 school in TX,wit over 3000 international student...plus it has good research centre for my goal,designing database and financial sotware research.

That is the perfect answer, say that.

If you can, also talk about your long term plans, ie what you plan to do once you are finished studying.. being excited about going back home and improving your country, having the prospect of a good job in Europe, whatever it is, outside of the USA.,
