Im a u.s citizen I was born and raised there until I turned 14 years old. When I was 13 years old I went to visit my grandparents on mexico and stayed there for about 2 months I had a lot of fun and that's where I met this guy named Federico but we never really talked much until I went back to the u.s , we started chatting through msn and it would be a daily thing from very early morning to night! then My parents decided to just leave so I had to leave with them.!!! I arrived to mexico the 20th of june 2009, and I was a little sad because I missed everything from the u.s and everyone but I adapted very fast to everything. I had seen Federico many times and we would just smile at each other until we started talking again non stop on msn, he eventually invited me to go out so we did and had a lot of fun and we just clicked! we officially became a couple on the 9th of October of 2009 and still have been going strong since I am now 18 I moved back to the u.s and now im living in Minnesota with my brothers to continuing to go to college and of course to work but I feel soo lost without Federico and I really want him here so I wanna marry him and bring him here with me so what do I do?? whats the next step please help me!!

Someone once told me that if you're too young to have a glass of champagne at your wedding, you are too young to be getting married.

My advice as someone who's happily married is that 18 is very young, and there are a lot of experiences ahead of you that you should have before you get married. Of course you want to be with the person that you love -- but you shouldn't rush things.

Choosing who you're going to spend your life with is the most important decision you will ever make. Even if you find the right person, it still has to be the right time to start your lives together.

If you truly love this person, you want to be ready before you get married, to give your marriage the best possible chance of success. Finish college, get your degree, and keep things going with Federico in the meantime. Both of you will have to be patient. It will be difficult, but patience is one key to having a stable and happy marriage. If your relationship is strong, this will only make it stronger.

Once you're out of college, it will be easier to get that visa and do the paperwork. Stay strong. Keep working at it in the meantime.
