Arming everyone is the answer. Give them lots of ammo too.

maybe you got muddled because of the way the information is presented. it's misleading for a reason.

Surely, that's it. Thanks ! ;)

The current method of protection for most schools if there were some type of shooter on campus is a school lockdown...lock the doors to the classrooms, cover all windows, and hope that the school or city police catch the bad guy before he kills people. While waiting for the police to arrive, there is nothing, except locked doors, to deter the shooter from killing people. But, if there were the possibility that behind that locked door is an armed person, that sounds like a possible deterrent.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea for a teacher surrounded by 1000+ kids to carry all the time. But, if there were a gun safe in a room where the teacher could quickly arm themselves in a crisis, I might could be persuaded to support that idea.

So its not that bad idea to arm teachers.. potentially it can be life saving.

Sure, let's arm everyone, right? It can potentially be life saving.

Children go the movies, I'd like to start arming the people at the concession stand. Let's also arm flight attendants, hire armed guards to protect public parks and playgrounds, maybe start handing out guns at museums, toy stores, etc.

For the children.

Potentially it could be a lot of things. I have a feeling it will end up being more bad things than good, but time will tell.

What response? Really?

Look, if you wish to actually solve the problem, then get involved with a PAC that suits you.

Darnell, have you had any luck in your pursuit of the Filipina woman in OT?

Don't forget the friendly folks behind the counter at Mickey D's!! They can't even get a burger right, but by all means, strap a gun to their waste.

More guns.........................Yay!!

That was a pursuit? Oh No ! You've read it wrong !

She was seperated, and apparently seeking support of her countrywomen.

Keep Digging though, it's a nice hobby to have.

I don't think the "deterrent argument" works here. These people shooting up schools are nutjobs, to put it frankly. They either expect (or want) to die, don't care either way, or are too crazy and/or emotional to even consider that outcome.

I may be wrong, but I'm guessing the reason they target schools isn't because there are no guns there, but because killing children delivers the most impact.

For the children.

Most movie theaters have armed off duty police officers working security.

After 9/11 arming of pilots was also approved lot of them do carry a pistol on flight + some of them have air marshall again armed.

Teacher having a weapon is not same as a child having a weapon. Think of a situation when the school goes in lock down the ppl behind door have nothing to protect themself and children just a hope that no one would break down the door.
