Yep so now if teachers don’t get respect it will be bang…

extra training, extra certs, extra pay.

I don't understand your issue, really.

or was it even YOUR issue?

Perhaps a new strawman for the week, yes?

My issue is that this whole "ARM EVERYONE" response to gun violence in this country is insane.

If you want to live in a country where teachers bring guns to school, then awesome for you.

I, personally, do not.

Sorry, the report, back at post #1, is for one city that had an issue in the prior school year, with a shooter .

I don't see their solution, for that city, to fall into the realm of 'arm everyone'. Sorry.

Gun violence (in real time) must be dealt with, with more 'gun violence', whether it be an armed USCitizen or a cop.

Past 'real time', the propensity for gun violence stems from the moral decay. Fix the moral decay, then gun violence decreases.

Since you're having an issue about this, I invite you to either form a PAC or fund an existing PAC, that matches your approach to solving the issue, and go forth. Many folk translate their wants, needs and desires into money, steering a PAC in to match said application of monies.

Let's tone down the condescension a little bit and attempt an actual conversation.

I realize the report (back at post #1) is in one city.

If you remember back in December, when Sandy Hook happened, this type of solution was actually encouraged by the NRA. Armed guards and armed teachers in schools across America. Not just one city.

You will notice, if you actually read the posts in this forum, that a select few honestly believe that more guns = less violence. I am not one of those people. Never will be.

You can go on and on about your moral decay, but these "moral" issues are happening in every country. But not every country resorts to the kind of violence this country seems to.

I don't pretend to know what will "solve" the issue. I just know what I don't think will solve the issue - and that's arming more people.

what's this about a prior issue with a shooter. i do not see any mention of this in the article. please advise.
