Hello,

My wife and I are just finalising the IV and AOS papers. However, I have three questions, if anyone out there can help at all?

The information about ID photographs shows a square photo, and this seems to be the US standard for passports etc. However, in the UK, all those machines that take and print passport / ID photos take rectangular photos. Are these acceptable for the Immigrant Visa application, as I’m in the UK and square is not the standard here? I know I should just follow the guidelines and do exactly what they say, but I suspect that many people just send in the UK standard, not US standard?

Once a green card is received can the couple live overseas for any length of time or will there then be a problem with the green card? A good work opportunity has arisen where we could go and live overseas for a year or two. It’s thrown the spanner in the works but then life can do that sometimes wow.gif

As soon as AOS and IV forms and supporting papers are sent and received, what is the estimated wait time for an interview at the US embassy in London? I really have no idea.

Many thanks

Mike
