HELP MY CASE HAS GONE MISSING

Just typed in my number in the USCIS website and this is what came up.....

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.

When before it just said 'initial review'.

What's happend to my case??

If i can ever offer any advise..... it would be NEVER EVER pay uscis.gov any attention. There are many many folks who have gone through their citizenship and their status still says they are waiting for NOA 1. TO clear your head call, wait on hold for about 56 hours and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer :-)

I don't want to give you any false hope, but my case said that for two days straight, and I was approved on the third day. I'm not sure what it means, if anything. It probably is just a coincidence that my NOA2 came, but who knows!!

My case still exists as looked it up on my account with the USCIS for email confirmation so its not gone missing im just panicking I guess. Fingers crossed its just being reviewed or something like yours was and will hear something in next couple of days if not will get Christina to call them. U booked your medical yet?

This happens a lot. During my own case my husband learned from USCIS some of the procedure that may have also affected your case.

The last action by USCIS is the assignment of a bar code to the case. It is then placed with others to be forwarded to NVC. Once that is done they don't show that they have the case any longer.

At the same time until its scanned into the NVC system they wouldnt show they had it either. So it seems lost or in limbo.

Yours may have already gone thru the system and be either on its way to NVC or waiting to be forwarded. In my own case we never did get the NOA 2 copy.

I guess only time will tell but for it to have changed to that when a few hours ago it said 'initial review' must mean someone's touched the file or somethimg so maybe in next few days we will get a RFE or a NOA. At least that's what I'm hoping haha

I hope you hear something!! From the looks of your timeline, it is very similar to mine. If I were you, I'd prepare for an approval!!

My fiancé booked his medical today. We waited for the DoS case status to say 'in transit'. Currently, there is a 15 day wait, which is actually pretty good, I think!!

I hope you hear something!! From the looks of your timeline, it is very similar to mine. If I were you, I'd prepare for an approval!!
My fiancé booked his medical today. We waited for the DoS case status to say 'in transit'. Currently, there is a 15 day wait, which is actually pretty good, I think!!

I don't think there is a problem with booking the medical before the consulate sends you the letter that they have your case. I did have my fiance wait until our case's status on the DoS website said 'in transit'-I assume by the time his medical comes around, the embassy will have had our case for awhile. I suppose I am being a bit risky, but I am assuming that by the time Jake has his medical (August 14th) he will have heard something from the embassy. Jake called to book his medical this morning, and asked for the earliest appointment available, and the best they could give him was August 14th, 15 days from now. I actually don't think that is too bad!

So, it looks like 2 weeks, give or take a few days, is the wait time!

Do you have your police certificate yet? That took a little longer than expected, so I would advise that you get that done now if you have not already!!!

When this happens it means your case is changing status. You should get either a RFE or Approval. Two cases in my group of 6 i-129f had this in the past 5 days, they both received RFEs.

No one else around me has had there's changed tho. On igors list it says a couple who received there NOA1 the day after me received a RFE on the 30th so maybe it was in same batch as them.
