My fiance (petitioner) called their MY HR to get the employment letter to support the I 134 form.

He forwarded it to me via email and it has the ff:

-Company logo (Just the logo and I do not know if you can consider it as letterhead)

-name, status, income, start date, position

The thing is, it is sent electronically and it doesn't have a signature. It just says, if you have any question, please contact MY HR.

Is this valid? Or should I ask him to ask their HR for a new one?

For my case, it stated that on the letter from the Embassy that I need a notarized letter of employment. You might want to request your employer to issue the notarized letter to save yourself some times in the future.

It will be just fine. What is really important is having a copy of your fiancé's most recent tax return and a copy of the W-2.

The employment letter is secondary evidence and is a "may include" type evidence, not required.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at

I have been waiting for you to answer, Hank!!!! Thank you very much. By the way no need to notarized, right? Manila Embassy doesn't require it?

To every one: Thanks for the input.

USEM doesn't require any documents to be notarized.

Is it valid? That will be determined by the interviewing CO. It would be nice if it were an original letter on company letterhead. Just my opinion based on my personal experience and knowledge. Best of luck!
