Are you black?

No.

Please enlighten me how a gun would have helped in this situation?

Probably wouldn't have.

Brings up an interesting point though. If the police are hassling you on your own property, would you break out a gun to defend yourself?

Um...that's still a yes.

No surprise there. I still consider you to be incapable of "catching me" but so willing to try. Get PWND in any online debates lately?

Police should be disarmed. It is clearly racist to allow police to carry guns, not to mention, why do we want wimps for cops?

Disarm them like they do in England.

Only select officers carry guns in the UK.

Seems to work out okay for them. Then again, they don't have the ridiculous amount of guns in their country that we do.

Unarmed police and a low amount of firearm related deaths. Interesting.

Surely you are not suggesting that guns, not people, kill people?

Same thing goes in Japan, it's hard as hell to get a gun there, yet it's one of the safest countries in the world. You can fall asleep on the sidewalk without the fear of getting robbed or killed. I've seen it many a night when we would go to Roponggi. They would step over them and leave them be.

America could learn a lot from Britain, France and Japan.

Roppongi - lol.

Yeah, here in Japan you can fall asleep in a bus or train without fear of being mugged or raped. A woman can go drinking late at night and not be harassed- except by drunk US Navy guys in Yokoska and Okinawa.

America could learn a lot from quite a few other countries if some of its citizens got over the whole "AMERICA IS #1" mentality.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

Don't remind me. I hated having that reputation over there. The times I would go out I was the designated walker, to keep them out of trouble it was a mess. I made sure no one used their credit cards in bars, we had a sailor get took for around 6k. And I had a limit of how much you could drink since folks get dumb when they are wasted. The marines in Oki were much worse though, every other week someone was claiming rape by a marine, I don't know how much more time we will have bases over there.

Someone being a lousy shot is an excuse to give them more ammo? Yeah that's what they need. laughing.gif

Not quite, I was thinking more along the lines of where are those cops learning to shoot?
