Did that person deserve to be shot and killed?

Well your asking for my obviously biased opinion. Shot and killed, would have been too easy. I would rather he suffered first before dying. That said, the guy is still my step father. He's drinking himself to death slowly in Florida. Seems a bit better than shooting him and killing him.

Touchy subject and long story I'm sure. That being said, c'mon man, you know if you had a gun and ended his life then it would have been too much and regrettable.

Hard to say. If I would've gotten away with it, it would've saved alot of people a bunch of bull$hit over 30 years. I damn sure wouldn't have regretted it at the time, and hard to say if I would now.

I guess looking at it objectively, simply getting pistol whipped and getting a few stitches, doesn't deserve a death sentence.
