Great, they started transferring to local offices for workload balance and it backfired. Does USCIS know what the **** they are doing? God only knows when our petitions will be approved. Why are they torturing married couples like this?

Not to incite more dissatisfaction about the fact that K-1 visas are being processed faster than CR-1/IR-1, but just a quick glance at VJ's homepage and almost all the 'finally!', 'approved!', 'after waiting X months..', and similar discussion topics about receiving NOA2, are K-1 applications. And also looking at the sidebar where it shows 10 latest VJ members' visa approvals, the trend is 2 to 3 CR-1/IR-1 and 7 to 8 K-1.

Immigrant fee paid on ELIS - Jan 24th

POE - Jan 25th

Update on GC and SSN

(as of March 14th, 2014)

ELIS status - Closed (Card produced)

USCIS case check with receipt number (starts with IOE) - Card delivered in the mail

SSN - Received (Went to SSA location to apply for one)

Mine shows the latest date of May 22, when my address was changed.

April 14: Real checklist for AOS (saying tax number was incorrect when it wasn't)
April 30: Another AOS checklist, for proof of employment (which was already sent)
May 1: Checklist for IV- certified marriage certificate (even though I sent a certified one originally)
July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!
 
ROC: 366 days
April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail
 
N-400: 190 days
May 8: Sent packet to Dallas Lockbox
May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged
June 7: Biometrics
June 16: "In line"
Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
Oct 31: Interview- Approved!
Nov 13: Oath ceremony!  Applied for passport & registered to vote on site.
Nov 22: Passport arrives (paid for expedited service and overnight delivery)
 
Journey complete! A total of 1701 days or 4 years, 7 months and 26 days.

June filer here, no touches yet. I'm really disturbed by the refusal of USCIS to convey accurate information regarding where petitions are being processed. I think I'll be making my first phone call to them soon.

April filer here. No touch since original receipt. And I have yet to see an "official" published "wait time" before contacting. Anybody see this besides what people are getting from their phone calls? (which of course are several different answers!).

BTW: I already placed a request in to my congresswoman. The request was to see what's happening with the delays of us, who are legally tring to bring our spouse here. Of course I snuck my case number in as well. ;-) we'll see what happens........

Mine shows the original date but I've called a few times and without asking the first tier 2 person said that it was touched a few days after what was showing. The next time I called tier two again said it was touched a few days after the date that was showing and was touched again last month
