Any i-130 approvals lately from NBC? I am seeing a lot of K-1 approvals but no i-130. I am July filer trying to get a trend in approval rate.

From what I"m gathering, it's pretty much all over the place. The trend is supposed to be 5 to 7 months for I130 approvals, but some are saying that the Phone reps are stating 12 months due to a backlog. If you look at the individual month threads, it looks like it is pretty much stuck in April right now.

I'm a May filer, and I haven't recieved any notice since the NOA1

it is stuck in march as well because i am a march filer and alot of people are waiting from jenuary and feb filers and even some of nev and oct and even sept here it is the link to check for yourself daily to see any approvals

it looks like a little over half of February has been approved. I filed end of April

I look at Igor's lists and at my contstant change in my timeline adjudication date and its down right depressing. btw does my adjudication date mean till I receive NOA2????? I think so but I hope I am wrong. I am an April filer and it looks like if my thoughts are correct that my first chance living again with my husband is spring of 2014!! I am praying for a flurry of approvals again! Some movement!

I am going to die of depression and frustration due to this total uncertainty. Spousal visa for citizens used to be the quickest one. Now it's in a miserable state thanks to authorities who like to make illegals the finest citizens.

I have been waiting a little over 5 months as well . It's a pain waiting for just I130 approval. Why can't they go in order instead of jumping around in months. not fair.

My priority date is February 21 and I'm still waiting. It's ridiculous that married couples (and many people have children, myself included) have to wait so long. No offense to the K1 filers but shouldn't married people be given priority? USCIS needs to hire more people or work around the clock. lol. The world is getting smaller and people are meeting and falling in love so people filing petitions for loved ones isn't going to go away any time soon.

there is NO reason to watch an overall progress of approvals for 130's

it is COMPLETELY dependent on the office that is approving it!

if you are in NYC.. you will have almost a year to wait, if you are in los angeles, you have less than four months

if you want to know about your case.. confirm it was transferred to your local office by calling a tier 2

then check the volume of your local office for some idea of approval patterns

no they wont give an estimated time, you will have to do your own calcs based on volume trends

don't forget to account for all the people who never come back to fill in their timelines... That throws off the stats on VJ ..

Also, so many people are stating that the files get transferred to local offices..... Nobody knows for sure... several people on the April filers thread called and were all told they don't get transferred unless there is additional info needed or they want an interview.... Now I know the people who answer the phone are scripted and they say whatever they can to get off the line but here has to be something to that if everyone is getting the same answer....

In my case even Tier 2 didn't know that we'd been transferred to a local office, even after we'd received an RFE from the local office. Tier 2 had basically no information on our case at all. From reading other peoples' experiences, this isn't that uncommon either for transferred cases.

HOWEVER, If the petitioner is in the US the I-130 was almost certainly transferred to a local office.

If they are irresponsible like this, why bother charging this much $$$. It's really frustrating that no one has any clue about what is going on.
