Ok, so I just got off the phone with USCIS again. They don´t have the old case numbers, and their computers are saying our application is still pending but they did send us something yesterday. I have no clue what is happening right now. I´ve done all I can today and calling again would be moot at this point. Thank you all for the advice. If anyone else has any input, it would be most appreciated.

Gotta wait for the letter. Maybe it's an RFE and the system updated wrong. I hope you know that the online system is not really connected to your real case.

It certainly does sound highly unusual, given that you seem to have recently applied (it would be very early for them to even adjudicate it), and have what looks like a standard K1 -> AOS process. Did you check case status on the USCIS website?

Definitely go to the biometrics!

Not so. My package was sent out on the 18th of June and we are already scheduled for an interview. Time isn't a huge factor.

I assumed u send a wrong amount of check or either you wrote name. (just my guess) or perhaps you didn't satisfied them with your application supporting documents.

Well, the first time I sent in the application, it got rejected because I had put the wrong date on the check. I wrote a new check and sent back all the paper work and they accepted it. We got our NOA with new case numbers and a couple weeks later we got our biometrics appointment which is supposed to be this monday. Nothing out of the norm. At first we were thinking they tried to close the old case numbers that got rejected. But I found those and check, they hadn´t touched them since June 24th. If we didn´t give them enough supporting documents, why "terminate our status" and not send an RFE? I do hope you all are right that this is just an RFE and/or a computer error. They haven´t touched our current I-765 EAD application. Just the AOS. Weird.

My husband and I are worried sick that they denied the application, canceled his current status, and will put us throw removal (if they do we´re getting a lawyer). We still haven´t gotten the notice. Hopefully tomorrow....

so....it turned out to be an RFE. My cosponsor didn't send his proof of citizenship. Don't know how that slipped past.

They really need to reconsider how they word their notices. We were so worried something happened and it turned out to be nothing. Also learned from this that the call center is #######. Thefirst guy told us they denied us and for us NOT to go to biometrics. We went anyway but still bad advice. So if anyone from USCIS says that, don't listen. Glad we didn't that would have been a HUGE mistake.
