I am curious to see from other peoples experiences. Are your petitioners coming to your home country for the fiancés interview? Is it necessary for the petitioner to be with fiancé at the interview or it does not matter? Do fiancés go alone to the embasy for interview?

my fiancé is from Poland and I was just curious about other people, not necessary from Poland but in general.

hi there, for what I've heard it depends on the location.

For example I'm from the Dominican Rep, and my fiance had to come necessarily, if not it would be like visa suicide for me if I decided to go alone, in the other hand there are countries that doesn't need the presence of the petitioner at all. My suggestion, check the webpage of the American Embassy in Poland, read from the portal and get ready to go if you have to.

Good luck!

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

My husband is from Romania and I attended his interview with him. i think it made the interview much easier since we were both there. In fact, the CO asked me more questions than him about how me met. Also, instead of mailing him the original documents and supporting evidence for the interview, I was able to bring them with me. I think it is good to be there if at all possible to give your fiance moral support. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. A lot of people go to their interview alone . Either way, read the embassy reviews for Poland and be prepared.
