My opinion is based on observations and not actually applies on my situation as ours is absolute coincidence even though we've met online.

I think that one of the good reason why most Filipina hooked up with Americans than other foreign guys is tolerable language barrier. Since, Philippines have a good understanding of english even though you didn't attain higher education. Another thing that I lobserved is that Americans are less conservative when comes to custom and culture differences which is easy to adapt.

I will post more if I think more of ideas. Just hard to type and review post thru phone. LoL.

Both countries have shared a great friendship over the years

A way to improve their quality of life...step up so to speak

They know how to be feminine and serve, even as nurses

They are calculating but not aggressive.

They know how to bide their time in achieving goals ...regardless of what they want/need

This sounds like marriage fraud to me.

A better life, a green card, a way to support family, to escape poverty.

Green Cards.

That could be said of everyone that is traveling this journey, no matter the country

... not just the Philippines

A better life, a green card, a way to support family, to escape poverty.

And that could be said of many from a variety of countries... not just the Philippines.

Could easily start with just south of the border...

Why does this question keep coming up? People always answer the same #######. Nothing good comes from this.

But, the truth is we are all different. So, stop trying to figure out why others do the things they do and just worry about yourself.

And as far as the whole green card thing. So what if that is their reason? Karma is a B*TCH.

yes green cards comes as it will to majority who files and lives with an american fiance. but to the majority who are being petitioned from different countries, it is philippines==filipinas who stays and makes the marriage intact!

Filipinos are taught of no to divorce. Our parents had lived together despite everything, we were taught the value of loyalty and integrity especially to our family and we carry that until we reach a different dimension in this world.

You dont have to judge because if we were to judge i would bet a 99% divorce would happen after less than 10 years of marriage from different nationalities being brought to America!

True love is the answer. Well here in Hawaii, many Filipino couples are separated by immigration. So the partner that comes here first, goes back and gets their partner.

One of my wive's friends back in the Philippines, "Find me a Kano so I can come to America."

My wife, "But, you are already married!"

"Oh, I am separated. He can get me an annulment."

America is a country of Immigration....that is how it all started......way back when...

The drive for people to immigrate to this country has always been about freedom and to find a better way of life.

I have personally found that the Filipina I am going to marry has strong family values and shows great compassion and love for me....

"True love" is a two way street....unconditionally giving to your partner to make them happy....when this attitude is in place with both partners.....WoW !!! that is certainly true love heart.gif

I have found this now and have had a hard time finding it in the US in the past with other relationships.

Just my thoughts !!!

Of course 99% divorce won't happen for filipinos/filipinas. They only do annulment rolleyes.gif
