finally approved. what now?

Hello Visajourney community :)

My fiance and I have been February filers and got transferred to Texas in the end of june. We got approved (at least I hope that this is what it means) with "On July 25, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

Now we are not quite sure how to proceed. We are still waiting for the NOA2 in the mail. How long does that ususally take? Does anybody have any experience on that? And how long does it take for the NVC to receive our case so that they are able to give us a case number? Are there any documents except for the affidavit of support plus evidence from bank etc. that my fiance needs to send me ? I started to collect all my documents that need to be sent to the embassy later on, hoping that this would speed up the process in the long run. The checklist is talking about the Birth certificate (original and 1 copy). Is the original in that case something that has an original signature on it? And do all the copies that I need to send in have to be notarized?

So many questions that have built up since we started filing. I should have discovered this website way earlier. :)

[March 2012] Met online on Christian Mingle [November 27th 2013] AoS sent
[June 25th 2012] Met in Person in London!
[August 2012] Steve visits me again in the Uk for our second meeting for just one weekend! [March 6th 2014] AoS Interview - Passed
[september 2012] My first trip to America to visit the love of my life
[November 2012] I travel to America for my first ever thanksgiving with Steves family!
[December 2012] Steve comes to the Uk to spend xmas with my family!

[september 26th 2013] Emergency appt at HM Passport Office London - New Passport and Birth Certificate in hand
[september 30th 2013] DX collects passport and birth certificate

[October 3rd] - Docs delivered to Embassy

[October 10th] - London Approves and Issues our Visa!!

[October 16th 2013] 4.00pm - Visa in my hand, 11pm POE -Newark

Thank you,guys. Thanks for the links also.I looked through all of them and found some answers. Still i would like to know if there is anybody who knows from own experience how long it takes currently for "to texas transferred" cases to be sent to the NVC? And how long it takes currently to receive a case number?

I read in other forum topics that those people who were transferred to texas and then sent to nvc have to wait much longer than people who came straight from california service center or vermont service center. That makes me a little unsure.

Anybody knows what's going on with that?
