Hey folks...we finally received our MNL case number in thee mail

I registered my fiancée on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ THEN LOGGED IN

so I was trying to see what the appointment calendar looked like

I got to a point where they asked if it was a non-immigrant visa...I said yes

The next screen asks for "visa class"

Well there is no K class as an option to chose...

what am I doing wrong?

Also...will it take me to a calendar to CHOOSE the date I want of will it randomly assign us a date?

How far out aRE WE LOOKING...HAS ANYONE HEARD??

THANKS

okay I found the answer on another post---this is considered an "immigrant" visa when scheduling an appt at the embassy (I don't understand that...oh well)

SO....I get to a point where it is asking for my "PRIORITY DATE"....jeez....it's not very user friendly....what is that? the date our package was originally received at uscis (Dec 18)???

----what will come up next? ...a calendar with date choices??

---and as far as then asking for "case number"...they want the new MNL number right? without the MNL? (just numbers?)

---my fiancée has a cell number and they are asking (or requiring) 2 phone numbers.....are they going to force me to put "something" in that spot?

Thanks all!!!!!

Priority Date will be your Received Date on NOA1

As far as I could remember, just #s no MNL

Put the beneficiary and petitioner's numbers (if required both)

thanks....I found out this morning that it needs the "MNL" also

Okay...I have another issue ...sigh....

I thought I would make it easy for my fiancée and while I was visiting in April, we went to BDI and paid for the visa application fee

Now...at the time it was $240 which with the exchange rate was 9840 php

While booking the appointment online today I see it was something like 10,320

It allowed me to schedule the appt no problem...it accepted my visa receipt number and printed it (and the amount of 9840) on the confirmation page

But....what will happen as it is paid short???

Any thoughts?

Interestingly I had all kinds of free dates to choose from on the calendar....I could have make her apt for next week if I wanted.....I thought it was all booked up...

hi bgamb!!!

may i know how long was your waiting time before you received the "packet/package?" In our case, I haven't received anything yet from the NVC nor the Manila.Usembassy. will I received a letter or an email? For how long??? and should I wait for it before I schedule myself for an interview and for the medical exam?

I will appreciate any reply regarding my queries. Thank you so much!!!!!

Hi Anne

our NOA 1 was received by USCIS on 12-18-2012

we were finally approved on June 25th (NOA 2)

It took a month longer to get a letter in the mail (here in the USA) with a MNL case number (You must have the MNL case number when making an embassy appointment)

You can call to try and get the case number a little earlier

This morning I scheduled her embassy appointment online...I made it for Sept 17th which gives her plenty of time to first fly to manila for her medical

My fiancée in the Philippines did not get a package in the mail yet

Don't worry about it. It's the exchange at the time you paid that matters

You guys should not waste time waiting for something that will or not be mailed out to you, it's not required to bring with you at the interview. All required docs are accessible online now.

No problem!

Congrats on your approval!

If you happen to get the 'much anticipated' letter from USEM (which again is not required), it will refer you to that same link anyways.

So when is the time to pay visa fee and all that other stuff?
