Few people perform "better than expected" once in the WH,

Imagining what Kerry or Gore would have done is a bit unsettling for me and is the main solace for my Bush-vote.

Not sure if it would have turned out better, but I don't believe we would have gone to war with Iraq had Bush lost. I think would have been a plus.

I have spent considerable time in the North and South and found little difference , actually not much in either location.

My boyfriend grew up in West Tennessee and Mississippi in the 70s and 80s, and has lived in the West and the Northwest. He disagrees with you, probably because he doesn't have a whole ton of white privilege accruing to him.
