Got a hit on getting an NBI Clearance

Yes, I just got it March 2013. The lady told me that when getting a green form, it's an Auto-Hit because they need to "triple check" my record; and I was surprised that some of you got their NBI clearances on the same day while I'm suffering here lol.

What branch did you go to? I'm going to have my fiance avoid that one.

And an open question to all, Hank, etc...

Which is the best branch to go to in terms of fast/ease of processing?

I obtained 2 more copies just the other day since the one I had in March was almost 6mos old. Although the line was long but I never got a hit...

According to the lady from NBI Manila it's an auto hit if for travel use or abroad. The green paper. First I got it from Robinsons but they will release it Aug20th which is far too late and my interview is Aug 12. So I went to NBI Main site in UN Taft and Hit again release of Aug 13. The next day, I went back to UN Taft branch and had it expedited according to Benjjoy. I was able to get it that day.

You need to tell Mylene to get her NBI asap. You wouldn't know if she'll get a hit or not until she will apply asap. And the best branch is NBI UN Taft

Will do thanks. That was our original plan anyways. She will be getting her CENOMAR then too.

Don't forget that you should have about 5 NSO Birth Certificates to bring to the states, as you will need them. Get them the same time you get the CENOMAR as it is the same place (NSO).

Why should we bring 5 COPIES of NSO BIRTH CERTIFICATE? Thats a lot and pretty expensive. Should those 5 have to be all originals?

Requesting for NSO Birth Certificate and CENOMAR is easier now as you can order those online. It'll only take 2-3 (if within the metro) business days for the documents to be delivered at your doorstep.

I ordered 5 copies of each online since I know I'll be needing them once I get to Chicago. It's always better to have extra copies (especially your Birth Certificate) to avoid such hassle in the future. :)

With regard to the NBI clearance, I suggest you go directly to its main branch in UN Ave, Manila. Best time to visit NBI Main is in the afternoon as there are less people. I went there on a Thursday at 4pm and I was done 15mins later. :)

Having a few extra copies when your head to the USA just makes life easier for times when you may be required to produce a BC..... marriage license, SSA, driver's license.... whatever.

And yes most times you are good using a photo copy, but some places want to, at least, see the original.
