Sure, there's other members of the GOP that do care about the popularity, and spin new stuff at least once a month.

Not the same team, not the same team members, so general, overall popularity does not matter to those in the House and Senate. There's other teams 'handling' that.

I do note your question is rather 'fun', as it's a common 'thing' to ask about - but it sorta leads me to believe you weren't paying attention when things go down, and shift. If'n you (or anyone else) pays attention, you'll see the same patterns.

And that's ok, too, to not notice the patterns, to not pay attention. Always makes for a heated 'debate' (though not from me) in the land of vapor.

Nah, there will always be those who cling to the conservative side of the house. The core beliefs of the GOP are reasonable to understand, it's the right wing extremists that drag it down.

Regardless of the beliefs, regardless of the plank, regardless of everything else,

The GOP in the House and Senate have a marked view of not passing anything the Kenyan wants to 'accomplish'. Been that way since day 72, IIRC.

That's not going to change until the Kenyan is out of office.

It's a concerted effort, a united front, to be certain.

Anything else the GOP might 'stand for', via beliefs, plank or everything else - it doesn't matter.

What matters is the concerted effort to oppose anything the Kenyan proposes.

Why do you think it cool to refer to Obama as the Kenyan?

Yes, popularity. Popularity equals votes, yes?

My question was meant to be a bit "fun", and I certainly do pay attention when things go down, which is why this life long Republican/Independent is now done with the Republican party unless they make some major changes to get out of the stone ages and into the present. In case you missed my previous posts about this, I voted for a Democrat (The Kenyan) for president for the first time in my life this last election.

And again, unless the R's do something different to change their popularity levels with mainstream America, they will continue to fade away to irrelevancy.

I blame the popularity of Rap music, moral decay, erosion of the 2nd Amendment and rejection of traditional family values. (That was my inner RWNJ talking)

A new party will rise up from the ashes of the GOP. They've been hijacked by the religious right, NRA and the Tea Baggers. Any solid ideas they had are muted by the nut jobs they allow to run their party.
