Can anyone please tell me if K-1 visa is Immigrant or nonimmigrant visa and where i would find the priority date on the NOA2 the space is empty.....We are trying to make our visa appt. in Lagos Nigeria any help would be great thank you

Can u please tell me the answer u have found?? Lol is it immigrant or non? And how are u going about the scheduling of interview? U wait til the Embassy receives from NVC & then what? Lol

we waited till we got an email from the Consulate in Lagos.....I found that its non immigrant and you pay the $240 visa at the bank and then go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-steps.asp with the payment receipt and fill out the form for the visa interview .....Good Luck

Just remember that even though the k1 is a nonimmigrant visa the instructions say to schedule the interview under immigrant visa.

" With the payment receipt number, the applicant can visit our website at http://www.ustraveldocs.com to schedule a K1 visa interview appointment under the Immigrant Visa (IV) category. "

Priority Date is the RECEIVED DATE on the NOA1

K-1 is a non-immigrant visa that most times is treated like an immigrant visa (confusing isn't it... )
