I am still Initial Review. Fingerprints done in first week of Sept. So it has been so long.

What would you suggest me to do, I applied in August, did Biometrics on 09/05 and has been under Initial review since forever. I am in Raleigh NC office. I have lost my patience.

I would make an infopass and see what's going on. If you want to call go ahead to. But if you feel like you are getting nowhere with them call your senators and ask for help. Good luck.

When I try to get Infopass, i selected option of already case filed. then next it gives me this

We offer 4 kinds of appointments for a case that you have already filed. Please choose from the following - Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

And none of those apply to me. What should be done?

IcyStar, please post how it goes with what you decide to do...there are 2 Baltimore September people who haven't made it through yet either and I'm reaching my "90 days" from being in-line at the end of this month, so I'll be following your footsteps. It's frustrating because we have a trip to see his parents overseas in March and I'm afraid they're going to pull it out then, not before like the processing times had said, like 4-5 months. I don't want him to be in limbo status when he's a citizen, but has no passport yet.

i ill try to make updates,so do you if you can, that will be nice)))

so there is one thing that has changed,my husband called the customer service again and we didn't get to tier 2 officer, but at least i had a chance to ask few questions about my case.

The person on the phone was extremely nice to me,i told him that i already did the enquery (called them after 90 days of waiting for updates),he pulled it on a computer and said that he sees i called on dec.26th(the 90-days expired on23d,which was almost christmas,so i didn't call),and what he said is that by january 10th somebody is obligated to sign in to my case and give some kind of response on what's going on.obviously this is something that they can check on the computer and i can't,so i'm gonna wait till january 20-th,since i believe,10 days is enough to comment on the case.and if i see no changes-i'm gonna go further.

i guess my point is-after you calling to CS and filling up the complaint(or enquery),you should wait for 2 weeks, after that somebody has to respond on this and update.

the next thing,i asked about the yellow letter that i received ,it says i have to bring my papers to the interview, and i assumed, maybe my case is so damn slow because i should send something right in!but the CS worker said-RFE papers are blue, and if they want you to send some more docs or evidence-they send the blue one.The yellow one is standard form.so..i think it's ok.

what not ok is,he said that yellow paper is usually sent 2-3 weeks before the scheduling, and i got it on november 7th.it has been over 2 months now,and the person on the phone said it's not ok,but the USCIS slowed down their work because of the government shutdown, weather, holidays etc..sucks,right?

omg you're so nice and helpful!thank you, i guess you helped so many people by being on the forum!

^_^

Thank you for the complement. I want to be helpful as much ad I could, because I dont see no reason of having a knowledge and hold it back from my brothers and sisters who are going through what I went through. I came to this website and I got help now its my turn to help people as much as I could. :D

Drove from Eugene to Portland last night due to an early appt. Had my interview this morning. Scheduled for 7:40. Arrived at 7:30 and was checked in at 7:35.

Went up to the counter where she verified ID, took my index finger prints and took my picture. Then back to the waiting area.

At 8:05 the officer called my name (Of course as soon as I was in the washroom)

She was very nice. Looked over the application asked all the questions again on there that we had to check off. ie; "if the law requires it, will you agree to bear arms for the US"

She asked me to read "who can vote?" Then on another paper told me to write, "Any citizen can vote"

Then the oral questions which were:

1. Who was brought to this country and sold as slaves?

2. What is the name of the Vice President of the United States now?

3. How many amendments does the Constitution have?

4. Why did the colonists fight the British?

5. What is the highest court in the United States?

Then she said, that's it, you passed! Do you want to come back this afternoon for the Oath Ceremony?

Umm yes of course!

Since my name was legally changed with my divorce, my case wasn't a name change which would require a judicial ceremony. How relieved I was. I thought since it was different than what was on my green card.

So I go back this afternoon at 1:40 for the Oath Ceremony! So excited

Hope there's no typos or auto-corrects that I missed as I'm on my phone. :-p
