Hello to everyone reading this (F) . You may have seen me in other posts, even though I have just recently joined. My fiance, Michael, and I have been trying to find the best way to start our life together hence either a fiance or spouse visa. We are compiling all the needed paperwork for the first step I-129F petittion and I am so glad to have stumbled across VJ. It has already been such a help, with some kind and patient (I do ask a few question, I know) people for support. I appreciate you all and your help.

As for my love and I (L) ... we have known each other 3 and a half years or more, though only really moved onto the next stage last January of 2006. For over 3 years he has been my best friend and now we have almost a year of being officially together. It is crazy to think of my life without him, which is precisely why we are taking the next steps. He really is the best things that has happened to me and I thank God every day that I have someone with whom there is so much comittment, connection, patience, passion, understanding, care, and above all love. He is my greatest treasure and I just hope and pray that things will work out for us as I see it has or is working out for all of you here at VJ.

So while I will calm down on the questioning, I never guarantee to stop them even if they get annoying :D . Guess it is all part of the territority of being a newbie :lol: . Thanks for reading this and I look forward to future communication with you all, and hopefully soon enough I will be able to be the one giving the advice.

01/24/06: Officially began our relationship

11/01/06: He proposed marriage :)

02/17/07: I-129F Sent to NSC

02/23/07: I-129F NOA1

02/28/07: I-129F NOA2 (found out while checking on-line)

03/02/07: Received hard copy NOA1

03/08/07: Received hard copy NOA2

03/13/07: NVC sent packet to La Habana

03/27/07: Telegram "sent" to fiance to pick up packet 3... never received

04/02/07: I contacted the "embassy" to find out status of case and set up pick up date

04/04/07: Fiance picked up packet 3

04/05/07: I called toll-free # here to set up appointment for my fiancé

05/10/07: Interview scheduled for 7:30AM... Visa Approved!!!!!!!!

05/14/07: Picks up passport/visa and brown sealed envelope

05/15/07: Paperwork for the carta blanca turned in

05/24/07: Carta Blanca received and bought plane ticket

06/04/07: Entry into the US... together again!!!!!!!

08/07/07: MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

I've just mailed our I-129F yesterday (although I only mailed it to my mom for her to send it to USCIS with the check included!). Point being, I should be mailing it out officially next week.

Actually we have not even sent in the I-129F, but are getting all the papers together. I need to have him sign the G-325A forms, a letter of intent to marry, take his passport style photo and send me them via DHL from Cuba as it is really the only reliable way to send things from and to there. So I am trying to get all that straight from here because he can't acess much from Cuba. I am more than happy to have found VJ for all the guides and advice. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully a speedy processing of all your papers.
