To add to the thread in penance for my derailing it... um...

I don't think being stupid or uneducated is something to be ashamed of, but I don't think it is something to be proud of either. It makes me sad to see people who feel so bad about themselves that they turn their faults into virtues of their true identity, like "hey I am a psycho killer but that's just who I am, man!" It's some kind of reverse psychology or something. "Elitist" is just foxspeak for different and smarter than us.
