Extending my F-1 visa

I am currently doing a Masters in Business Management, with a concentration in Management. I already have a BA in Business Management, and during the course of the year, I decided that at some point in my future I would like to become a CPA, and to do this I would need to change my Master's concentration to Accounting. I could do it in a separate degree, but at the moment college is free for me because I am a graduate assistant, so I would like to make this change now while it still costs me nada. My current degree i-20 expires in December, and this would more than likely be extended.

So, my question.

Would I still be eligible for an AOS this summer coming. We got engaged this summer, and either way will be getting married in the summer of 2013, either by AOS, or if necessary, I will go home and apply for k-1 or cr-1 depending on what we have to do.

If we went the AOS route on an extended F-1, or even OPT, would my intent be defined as fraudulent, or create any red flags come the immigration interview.

I am still just trying to assess my options available... I hate it when me and my fiance spend even a couple of weeks apart...we did long distance at the start, and as many of you know, it sucks hard time. We are both committed and in it for the long run, and could accept (with sadness and tears) me returning to my homeland for months to get over one last time legally.

Thank you for future responses. VJ has been a wealth of information and very helpful advice forum to me, and I will always be eternally grateful for the help received here, and hope that one day, that I too can become a source of advice, once all is said and done.

K1 AOS:

Most people report they get no questioning of their intent, even when they come over on VWP and adjust status. If you have a real relationship and are in the US legally, then there is no reason why you wouldn't easily adjust status from student visa based on marriage to a USC. Start now or next summer...doesn' t matter as long as your visa is valid and you haven't overstayed. Somebody from the UK even reported recently that they married on VWP, overstayed a year, and still did AOS with no questions.

Thank you good sir.

Never a bad idea to check something first when dealing with USA immigration, I suppose.

to extend a visa, a student F-1,

you should check in with the DSO at your uni,

and inquire about it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Another question, once I get the extension, would it be ok to travel home for Christmas? Or would that start a whole new bag of issues?
