My fiance and I have recently been approved for our K1 peition. I am the beneficiary. We recently filled out the I 134 form and we got copies of his last 2 years income tax records and about4 of his most recent paystubs. He makes about 30000.00 a year, which is quite a ways above the poverty limit for 2 people. I am wondering if that is enough. I have read that others have gotten copies of bank statements and letters from their employers. Is that required?

I am in the same situation as you. I make about 36k a year and have copies of my tax return (2009-present), paystubs (May 2013-present), W-2 forms (2011-present) + employment letter and a form I receive from my job every year stating that i make 36k a year. I don't wont to send in my bank statement if it is not necessary since I barely have any savings which kind of worries me that they might want my bank statement but even if I don't have enough in my bank account I plan on sending it and if the person at the embassy asks for it then my fiance will give it but if not then I guess I am good. I have no dependents as well so it is just me & my fiance which will fall under household of 2.

each embassy is different on how they view the 134

since you make well in excess of the minimum, just stroll through the 134 instructions and let it ride

transcripts are always easier than tax returns.. they take less than ten days by mail to receive

It would be good if you had something to show that your fiance still makes this income- after all, for all they know he could have lost his job since the last tax return was filed. So a couple of recent pay stubs or a letter from the employer etc.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thanks everyone for the advice. i will be going through the Vancouver, Canada consulate, and I have heard that it is a very easy consulate to go through. I have the transcrips and recent paystubs. I think that will be enough. Hope so anyway.

So, if you make well over the guideline there is no need to answer all the questions regarding savings, bonds, mortgage etc???

I also mistakenly sent my fiancé the I864 affidavit of support. I have to send the I134 now??????

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Yes, no need to fill the assets portion.

Normally, the I-134 is used, but some embassies like the I-864 even for the K1. I do not know about Granada, you may want to start your won thread about your case.
