Self defense laws specifically allow deadly force for self defense purposes. Court rulings and State Attorney General interpretations have determined that the "avowed pupose of injuring a fellow man" applies to arming oneself for the purpose of inflicting harm on a particular person or persons with malice and forethought...NOT for the purpose of inflicting harm in lawful self defense. "Being armed" has been legally determined not to be the same as "intending harm". Just as carrying a condom in your wallet is not the same as "intending to have sex" anymore than a spare tire means you "intend to have a flat tire"

Allowing anyone over age 16 (and under age 16 with parent permission) to carry concealed handguns has reduced crime to enviably low levels. Great fishing too!

Try it!
