Hi everyone,

Need to know if anyone had their case transferred to the Missouri Service Center after having their AOS interview?

To make a long story short, we had out AOS interview on March 23, 2006 and my husband's I-94 was removed from his passport and "AOS still pending" was stamped on it, but due to my husband's arrest on Sept of 2005 she was not able to make a decision for his Green Card until we sent her the Court's Final Disposition Letter along with the I-797 she gave us at the time. We finally got the Court letter on November 1, 2006 and sent it in as requested. Now 3 weeks later we checked on USCIS.gov website and got this email from them.....

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On September 15, 2005, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Does anyone know how long or have an idea on how long it will take for the MSC to make a decision on an AOS this long pending?

Yep standard wording now... until someone actually picks your case back up and starts work on it again it is normal. Whether you file has been transfered back to Missouri or not, well, I would probably say it is still at your district office awaiting final decision.

As I've said many times before, the wording about the MSC is misleading, confusing and downright wrong.

Some genius at USCIS decided that the Office at which the case is being processed at should be included in the standard text. It appears they do this by looking at the first 3 letters of your case number, hence why everyone's application will say "This is at the Missouri Service Center" even though it isn't.

The mistake is doubly compounded by the fact it talks about processing times, and gives a link where a ) There is no "Missouri Service Center" and b ) even if you figure out they mean the NBC, the NBC doesn't have processing dates for AOS.

The result has been threads like this popping up all over VJ, and its annoying because really when USCIS updated the wording on their site it should have been made more clear, not less!
