How long does it take for NVC to respond to email asking for MNL#?

Take the worry out of being close, email them per the instructions in my link... then its in their system for a quick auto-reply.

Yes, I did that, and got the auto-reply, but the auto-reply obviously has nothing on it.

I called tonight, when she gave the MNL# I asked right then if she could email that to my email address that she had on record. She said to try that on Monday (call and ask for the rep to email it).

And yes, I did email NVC as well.

Look like you are covering all your bases....good job !!! :-)

Leon,

At least in Zyra's case they were still going to let her do the medical exam, they just wouldn't release the results until they had a copy of the NVC letter or email. Lucky for us, I received the letter later that same day while she was still at St. Luke's.

Okay, I just re-read Hank's guide, and upon that closer look, it sounds like he's saying you don't actually need the NVC email to go to the medical, and that you can use your interview appointment confirmation email instead. So that gives me a little more breathing room with that second option.

Just catching up in yer topic -

but

YUP YUP and YUP !!!

having paper or email from NVC (IMO) is useless,

as

you or the beneficiary can get an appointment letter (via email) after paying.

so

pay

get appointment on self-schedule then

get appointment letter via email or download.

Yay CGI Stanley !

(I wish it worked as well for China - there's lots of problems)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

As the question says. I got the case number today (wow, fast - got the NOA2 Monday), but need confirmation via email for the medical, per guru Hank's guidelines. biggrin.png

I've emailed them several times already since I got my MNL on July 24 and as of now I still have not gotten a response. I am worried since my fiance might have a problem with the medical if he doesnt the NVC email/letter confirmation with the MNL case number. I've asked several people if the appointment letter would suffice and some say yes & some say they do request the NVC email/letter. I am a little stressed since I have not received a letter or email from NVC after getting my MNL over the phone.

I'm going to send my fiance anyways on Wednesday whether we get it or not. I will just have her go with the appointment letter, NOA2, MY email to the NVC, and their auto-reply. If they turn her back, then they turn her back, but someone on here said that they go ahead and do the medical anyways, but they won't submit the results to the embassy until they see the NVC letter, so she can just go back with that if they want it.

This is important to me, because we want to schedule the interview for the first week of October when I will be there with her, and we want to do the medical this coming week so it allows 8 weeks in case of a sputum and avoids delaying the October interview because of that.

My fiance is planning to do his medical on August 12 since he planning on scheduling his interview for August 29 because I am trying to get him here by October to go with my aunt who will be visiting in October. So I am a little stressed about this whole situation. I've printed out the case status check and will be emailing him the auto-reply I've sent to NVC as well as our NOA1 & NOA2 with his appointment letter. Hoping that everything will go well.

It is true that they ask for NVC Letter, but their web site clearly said "if available". So, you will not have any issues doing medical without NVC email.

We got our case number on a Friday and my fiancée flew to Manila Sunday and did Medical Exam Monday and Tuesday. They did ask for NVC letter, but she told them I got the MNL# over the phone and we didn't receive the NVC letter yet. They just said okay make sure your MNL# is correct. I think they are only asking because I bet someone gave them the wrong MNL# and it caused issues at the Embassy.

Our case is already at the Embassy and we still haven't received an email or physical mail from NVC. When I called them for MNL# they confirmed my email and phone number.

I'd say go for Wednesday like you are planning and if you get something from NVC Monday or Tuesday great print it and bring, but otherwise don't worry about it. As long as your fiancée is confident the MNL# is correct and she knows that the NVC letter is optional per their web site she will be fine.

Good luck

Edit: here is the wording on their web site

Visa Interview Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available,

Would someone please point out a K-1er who was not admitted into St. Lukes for their medical, or whose medical results were not released by St. Lukes, because they didn't submit an NVC letter/email?

I'll have her bring the same things your fiance will. And will let you know how it goes.

Stay tuned lol...

Update on this topic.

She and I decided to risk her going today WITHOUT any NVC letter or email except an auto-reply for a request for one. Instead, she printed out this request email and the auto reply and brought that & gave that to the teller at St. Luke's.

No questions were asked and she was allowed through. :D

Go figure lol.

No surprise there. Thanks for the update.
